Assassins Creed 2 is the sequel to Assassins Creed (<sarcasm>no joking</sarcasm>

The gameplay looks pretty nice

Anyway. I was wondering what happened in the time period, so I looked up Leonardo Da Vinci, and Italy. The Italy was a dead end, but Leonardo Da Vinci did a picture of Raised wings. Looked 1480 up and Vioila: A crusade was going It's within his lifetime too, but then he hadnt drawn the wings yet. He drew the wings in 1490, but then the crusade might have still been going.

There were probally alot of crusades around that time.

It looks pretty awesome I must say, they've added some quite cool new things, it's quite cool that you get to snatch the weapons straight from your enemy and use it against them and the glider seems quite cool too. I can't wait for it to come out now.

It's still the same as the first one, the enemies just stand there and attack 1 by 1.

Sequels do tend to just 'add' to the game, rather than change it, AC2 isn't just the same, you can do more with it and you've got a whole new environment and more to experience with the plot.

It looks like they just changed the level, and added some useless features (such as killing two guards in the same time, which will probably happen only twice in the game). The fight with the halberd was completely unrealistic (it would be impossible to kill someone that way, even with a spear). And I wouldn't be surprised if the 'kingdom' world was removed.
Anyway, I hope this one will manage to succeed where the first one failed.

Pessimism is ripe I see.

At least it looks like they will deliver features they failed to in the original.

It doesn`t even matter if they add some new extra cool stuff, as long as they fix what was fundamentally wrong with the first game (missions and enemy A.I) the game will be several times better.

Unfortunately we won't know until it's released. I hope it's less repetitive. Some of the new features look good.

I'm fairly certain that in an interview I heard at Giantbomb that they added in a bunch of new mission types so hopefully that will spice it up a little.

I really hope they find a better way to lock off parts of the map, like maybe the world starts breaking up into that blue stuff like it did when he assassinated the guy in the vid. Having a blue wall appear was just such a cheep and old fashioned way of doing it. Invisible wall are OUT.

That's just it, they don't need to add a few more info collecting missions to the already existing eavesdropping and interrogating missions, they need to totally revamp them and make them unpredictable and interesting to play every time.

The team working on AC2 is made up of 300 people with a huge budget, if they can't do it, there is little hope for next gen games.

I wouldn't have minded seeing how the end of the last story turned out, it didn't really have an ending did it? It just finishes, kinda like Crysis did. But the gameplay still looks fabulous, I really hope they don't drop freeroaming between cities though, and the Sci-Fi nature at the begging of AC1 was something I was really surprised and enjoyed about it, so props to who keeps that in
Really gonna get it though, no doubt.

@Megaton Cat: There were new collection methods for PC. Didnt solve the repetition issues. Just delayed it to the last areas.

Just looked at some talk through gameplay videos and it looks like it IS going from where it left off, just in a different place, and a different guy.
On the other hand I heard it looks like we are only going to be able to free-roam around Venice in the 14th Century
I really liked the travel around the world on horse back, part of gameplay.
