This is just a simple Asteroids remake I made today.

I actually made it to test a simple 2D game framework I'm working on, but when I finished it, I figured, I don't finish games very often, so I may as well take advantage of this one and release it.

The controls are different from the original Asteroids (just because I hated them so much!). You use WASD to move up, down, left and right, you aim with the mouse, and you shoot by clicking the left mouse button.

Pretty good,I like the new controls.(There still not better than the original )

I love it- if the original is anywhere near as good as this... I don't know, never played the arcade version. Well, I have to say, on the later stages it lagged the hell out of my computer. Now I can say my computer lagged from Asteroids! Yay!

I discovered a bug shortly after uploading it, where any bullets that leave the screen weren't correctly deleted, and so by the 3rd or 4th level you may have dozens of bullets still being updated that aren't on the screen. I can upload the new version if anybody wants it.

Nice game, really like retro style games, simple and fun.

Pretty funny to have an asteroids game lagg more then crysis with highest settings

I got to level 11, but by then it was running at less than 1 FPS

Sorry guys, I'd upload the fixed version but I'm on vacation now for the next two weeks and it's not saved on my laptop. However I suppose if you never miss then you shouldn't be affected by the bug so...don't miss.
