Hi,
I've noticed that there're some entities and characters that can be seen through fog and it's really annoying when everything at large distances is faded into the fog and there u find a character on its own..
I thought it was a bug but not all entities have the same effect, so any idea what property could be controlling this?
TY..

Are you using shaders? Because I know when using illumination map on entites, it dosnt fade into the fog, i think this is because entities with illumination map are not affected by shadows or lighting, apparently that includes fog as well?

Maybe they should fix that in the migration *cough*

Using a shader at all will negate the effects of fog.

shaders and dynamic lights are off

EDIT: It's sth in the FPE script cause when I mess around with it trying to make it more similar to the fpe for the working entities it works but ofcourse sometimes other problems occur because of my playing =) I just can't figure out what property and I really don't want to mess up more FPEs..

PS: they're also not affected by ambience levels

This link might help:

fog problems

I've no idea whether that will help - but it might point you to the right script to edit.

Have you tried searching for fog? Might be worth browsing the various threads that come up.

no that's not my problem, actually fog works fine ambience too.. only there're some entities that are not affected by neither of them at all so from long distance u can see 2 entities side by side one completely dissapeared in fog and the other is very clear...

I found a thread by nikas reporting the same problem and finally I found out that it only happens with dynamic entities... now the problem is how to solve it cause it's a major problem for characters
