That's what I get for giving the cat free range of my room. I found him sitting on the keyboard, who knows how long he'd been there. I turned off the computer to prevent him from doing any more damage, but when I turned it on in the morning, I got a black screen with text "Missing file Hal.dll" or something. Can't quite remember the exact message, but it was something about a missing dll file.

I'm amazed that he somehow managed to delete a system-critical file with his rear end ><

I bet your cat is laughing at you in some dark corner of your house.

No wonder laptops have a cooling problem.

A few years ago our late cat Gandalf (yes, I'm named in his honour) stomped across the keyboard of the "Dinosaur" and Lo! and Behold! up popped a message box asking "Are you sure you wish to delete folder btinternet.com?".

I decided it was time to remove him from the keyboard without delay.

That cat does ask a legitimate question. If someone removed me from the keyboard of someone's laptop I too would ask the same thing.

Lol! Perfect picture I wonder if someone's invented a USB anti-cat solution yet...

A door perhaps (with no need for a USB, but if you must, invent a USB door). That's what keeps my cats away.

My cat knows IE8 better than I do, can switch things on and off that I did not think it could be changed.

there's is anit cat keyboard code that stops kitty from doing damage.

Well, what do you expect? It's a cat.

My dog, on the other hand, would never do something like this. In fact my dog built my computer and taught me how to program.

This your dog? You should keep it on a leash as it walks trough town on its own with its cute briefcase. It might get robbed, acting so snobby.

How dare you!

Next time I come to Earth from my moonbase, I'm going to chew on your slippers and leave dead patches on your grass.

I find it interesting that Windows requires Hal to work properly.

A missing Hal should be a safer computer to use. But if you really want him back here's a link showing how:
