This is the Video Challenge #1, like the screenshot challenge that darimc started except with videos.

Theme: Horror (just to get it out of the way )

End date: August 27, 11:99 p.m. USA Central Time

The Rules:

Videos must be in the 30 sec. to 1 min. range (the video itself, not including title or credits)
Video effects may be used and might help you win
Videos must not contain anything not allowed on the forums
MUST BE MADE IN FPSC X9
FPSC Mods are allowed for this one
one entry per person

Prizes:
A trophy model from me Gamer X (see attached image)

The winner gets to select the next video theme, choose to judge, and choose to allow mods.

Please upload your videos to a video site like youtube. This way the judge doesn't have to take time to download the files.

There done, of course I think I would allow mods or at least let the winner decide the use of mods in his challenge.

I am just seeing if anyone would be interested in such a contest first. If I see that people are interested then I will start it. If people are interested then and would want to start it right away then I will either post a new thread or change the first post and ask for the thread to be renamed.

Interesting... I think it's success would depend on the specifics though. "Videos must be in the 30 sec. to 5 min. range" seems like too big of a range to me. Perhaps if it were more like a TV commercial, where you only get up to one minute. I guess you would have themes?

Could be fun.

Brian.

xplosys, I agree with the video length and therefore changed it. I also added that "the video itself, not including title or credits" to the length of the video so that the footage and add-ins to the footage is what makes the length.

Also I need to know, how long should each challenge last? a week, two weeks, every 10 days

I find it a very interesting competition, I think around a week or two should be enough.

Two weeks sounds good to me. People will probably want to setup somewhat of a small, themed level or area to work from and I'm pretty slow. Otherwise, you might get a lot of stock looking videos.

X9 & X10?

One entry per person or multiple?

I might get in on this if I can squeeze it in my schedule.
