@darimc:

Thank you for the report. I believe I know the cause, so when update time comes around there should be a fix for it.

we don't support 3rd person in this version but you can make basic 3rd person.

3rd person will be supported more in Project blue v1.8.

The commands needed for 3rd person are available in this version. We don't support any specific script or idea performed with our commands, though, and 3rd person is included in that.

I want to make it clear that 3rd person is not a feature, it is simply an effect created through scripting.

It's a damned hard effect to create too, some things just can't be done as is. But as S4 said come 1.8, it will be a little easier :3

But I suppose we should save that for the Blue thread.

FPSC won't work? At the most only the test game wouldn't work, but not the program.

@Sniper Studios:

Sounds like you copied over the "FPSCreator.exe" file instead of the "FPSC-Game.exe" file. Make sure the only file you're replacing is the "FPSC-Game.exe"

Sounds like the demo code that I left in there kicked in... even though I removed the demo lock.

I'll get a fixed version up soon. Thank you for informing us.

Attaching latest build of PGFE.

Demo code from Project Blue should no longer activate, meaning there's nothing that's standing in the way of building anymore.

Thanks, but...

Now, when I build game, the game itself start ( ) and fpsc editor crash (blocked, I have to kill the process). Is it just me? Have you made a test building a game with your mod? (look like there's something bad with command line when executing fpsc-game.exe, maybe because of PBlue protection ?...)

Just found another protection line in the source. I'm sorry about that. There was still a bit more left in it. But this should do it now.

I've attached the updated package. First post will be updated soon as well.

I just downloaded the other version...bah.

Worth it for a constant 30 FPS.

just got this mod, decided to test it and see what it was worth. I have a few questions

1: is the FPS cap at 30? I usually only get about 30 fps in a level with only a floor whereas I used to get perfect 38 in v109 w/ s4mod. I thought the cap was 60?

2: I don't seem to get any better performance with this mod. am I doing something wrong or Is it just not supposed to perform well like PBUM. large levels have no improvement

3: picking up guns makes the game freeze for a sec.

any answers to these? otherwise great mod. It fixed s4mods 0 ambience constantly porblem.

1) Yes, the fps is capped at the framerate that animations and sounds are best suited for.

2) It has all the performance upgrades that PB1.6 had. You may not be noticing it as much because of the framerate cap. I'll see about swapping back to my old cap method sometime soon. It provided a steadier framerate when experiencing slowdowns.

3) Not sure about this one. I haven't experienced any lag when picking up weapons. Is this a test game or built game?

I have already built two games with the new version. It works on this end. What is it doing to prevent you from building?

I'll take a look, but if it cannot be immediately fixed, then it will have to wait until a later update.

Water may be scripted into the Mod. But it is not a direct feature like in other Mods. It's not going to be SHINY and REFLECTIVE and stuff, but seeing as how people struggle for framerates as it is, I don't find that to be much of a drawback.

I'd be happy with just refractive water like S4Mod had...

If you see ANYTHING related to project blue, then you're not using the latest upload. Please go download the latest version. I searched the source and everything regarding the Project Blue security has been removed.

Oh, I am so sorry, I was testing a VERY old version of Project Blue UM and forgot to replace it . . .

Silly me.

[EDIT]: Working now. Thanks Ply! Although I'll probably still use Project Blue, this is an awesome contribution! I'll definitely make a game soon to test it out

Thanks.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but this mod doesn't have a timer based system, so if I use the Lemur that's integrated in this mod to make a special objective MP game, will timers work in that?

Have you made any headway into a fix or something we can change in getting decals to work ply? Other than that it's great!
Also, one more thing, it wasn't in the manual so I figure its not in, but do fullscreen shaders work?

Thanks for this great and free runoff you guys, it runs swell, no slowdowns

Anything that was added to PB after v1.6 (which includes the FS3) will not be in PG.

PB v1.6 - the things I mentioned in the first post = Project Green

If it wasn't in PB v1.6 then it's definitely not going to be in here.

PGFE uses FPSC V1.15

And yes, you may make doors with this. (If only everyone had such simple demands, lol)

Well? that mod rules, but... I've tested it 5 times on 5 different computers and my friends gave it a try... it cannot compile. When i try to build it it runs a test and doesn't compile it.

Is this mod a joke of some sort? If it is, then i just dont get it.

No, this is not a joke.

I have no idea why it is not compiling for you. I have successfully built games at LEAST 5 times with it now, without the testgame coming up, without errors, and without any problems.

@Creatov: What happens when you try to build a game? Me, it just launch the game (Fpsc v1.15 and I'm on Vista too...) (If that matters, The Game Creators logo appears before launching the game.)

[edit]: yep seems we have the exact same trouble (read your post too fast )
