Well I think the model packs come with .x files and fpsc files (neither of which are compatible with 3ds max) so without some conversion you won't be able to.

Your bedtime story is scaring everyone

ïf u buy MS3D (20-25$) u can, it supports .X both export and import

if u download BLENDER (free) u can aswell since it can import .X models.

hope it helped

Your best bet is importing the characters in Fragmotion then export as Half Life 2 .smd file, then download the .smd import/export plugin for 3dsmax and import the model.Thats how I do it.Theres an .x importer for 3dsmax but its horrible.

Probably not.

I use the same method as cb, .smd is the obvious choice for me as I am importing/exporting to and from Half-Life 2 constantly.

I'll give fragmotion a try. I'm not good at modeling so i'd rather use fpsc models and put my own animations to it. Thanks!

I think there is an importer for 3DS Max... try this link for the "Xporter":
http://mofo.pns.to/wibs/#5

...although it's been a while since I tried it I'm fairly sure it imports but without animation and then I used the Panda plugin to export because it works better.

...or you could import it into blender/truespace/milkshape(maybe) and then export as 3ds or something then open that with Max...?
