So, eventually after making simple gun models, I grew better and decided to become more confident when modeling. This has taught me numerous tricks and techniques to use in future modeling. I figured out how to drastically reduce 7,000 poly's to a small 1,000 without destroying the look of the model, figured out better texturing techniques, and more.

I just thought I'd show some of my work here.

Also, please don't ask for these. I'm not allowed to distribute them as they use all or some of EAI's G36c animations. Plus, they are exclusively for Primordial

Alright, here it goes, they are in order from oldest to newest...

1) FN-FAL, I think?:

And my favourite, and most recent, the FN-SCAR:










Please post the harshest criticism on the most recent ones. I personally thought the FN-FAL was a failure on texturing and High-Poly. I also thought the RPK was a disaster on texturing as well. Now the SCAR, however, I thought was good. I made it rusty, to fit Primordial.

All of the guns above are featured in 'Primordial' in the WiP section.

EDIT: Just to clear things up, the FAL and RPK are not 100% mine, originally made by 3DRT, a brilliant modeling company. I simply edited, retextured, and rigged the for FPSC. Everything else on this thread is 100% mine, no doubt

They are EAI Replacements because they all replace EAI's G36c... I'm not allowed to release them because they use G36c animations.

Just because I'm not releasing them doesn't mean they don't replace anything

What if i bought the G36C?Infact,i have both the G36 and Silenced versions.
You still cant release them i think
Well,why dont you buy or get the trial of Fragmotion and try to animate?We desperatly need a SCAR,i cant believe EAI hasnt made one yet....

Do you not get it? (I'm not trying to be mean, honest, please don't take it personal) It doesn't matter if you bought the G36c or not.

I already have FragMotion. You see the RPK there? It has custom animations. I've already made guns with custom animations, mate

And also, EAI already made a SCAR. He released it exclusively to AirMod SE users. But you have to e-mail him about it, it's very expensive I believe. There is a Youtube video of it search around.

They are no EAI replacements, but very nice just the same. Four days ago, you posted your first weapon model. Actually very good for a first weapon, but not much more than an extruded box with a poor stretched texture.

Your improvement in four days is no less than a full blown miracle. If think you must be some kind of modeling savant, the likes of which has never been seen on this forum. You are truly an inspiration to all of us and place a high mark for aspiring modelers to reach. I hope.

EDIT: Oh, and if anyone has a laser dot sight (red dot, whatever) they'd feel like 'donating' I'd be really appreciative. I'd definitely add you in the credits for Primordial

I tried making one, but it was too high poly, and when I reduced it, it became virtually invisible The texture was a failure as well.

Seriously? I thought it was a Carbine and I named it a Carbine already in the guns folder Oops.

Oh, well. I got some screens of it in-game. DEFINITELY have to touch up the texture and fix texture stretching. Overall, I was only happy with the ironsights cause they lined up nicely







Will probably darken the texture, up the quality, and add scratches

And now, I shall spam you with even MORE screens!

But really, I hope you guys don't mind me posting so much.

Did some final changes on the tiger skin, made certain parts darker, upped the quality, got shader effects workin' nicely, and added detail to the clip. *Whew*











(The last 3 screens were just showin' the shader effect workin' out great)

Again, I have no idea what to make next, give me great ideas. I do NOT do RPG's at the moment or Shotguns. Maybe Sniper Rifles if they're cool enough

@PW Productions, [/off topic]. In Resident Evil 2, you could find spare parts for Leon's pistol later in the game which would upgrade it to burst fire. It's also in Resident Evil 4, called the Matilda, available after you beat the game.

[/On topic], Yes, I'd like to see it with the stock. The real pistol fires in semi-automatic, and can ONLY fire in bursts when the stock is attached (note the selector switch is on the stock).

Ah, ok Kraven. I made the pistol, will work on the stock (I didn't see your post when I was making it)

Yet to improve the texture, and I think it was a little too low poly, but still looked cool



And to prove it has 3D detail, the wire...



Gettin' a non-stock one FPSC-ready, will work on the stock later

Alright, Kravenwolf, got it in game

I find that pistols are much much easier to model, yet a lot more tedious to texture and rig for some reason...

I think it should've been skinnier though, do you? Not really sure.










EAI generally doesn't seem as protective over the pistol animations as he is over the G36 anims. Maybe if I get permission I'll release a better version of this.

Darimc, I'm using AC3D... I could write a tutorial if you try the trial of AC3D, or just a tutorial for any program. I use FragMotion to rig/animate.

The first two ( the FAL and GALIL models by 3DRT) look pretty small in the hands.

The others should look better once you get some proper UV mapping on them. The stretching totally ruins the look of any HUD weapon.

Cool to see you setting up weapons for your game.

Ah, that's where I got 'em from! I remember I didn't make the RPK and FAL, just edited a little. Now I remember lol. I forget sometimes, gotta be careful. Yes, you're right, maybe scale them up.

[Off-Topicish] EAI, what programs do you use? I've always been curious

Yeah, I'm not too good at UVMapping. I hate stretching too. I've been working very hard on the most recent weapon, the Makarov.

Here's my progress, decided to work harder on the texture now and prevent stupid stretching.





Also, Errant, do you have any suggestions on how to make the guns look better? Like detail, texture, etc.?

And finally, do I have permission to release the VP-70mm and the Makarov once both are finished?

I can tell you they are, but I know that won't cut it. How would you like me to verify? I'd be glad to. I can verify however, that the FAL and RPK are not made by me, simple edited (originally made by 3DRT).

The SCAR is 100% made by me, and so is the M4 Carbine. I'm not really sure how to verify it... So, if you'd kindly point me in the right direction

I have a solution!! ok PWP if you have a screen recording program then when you make your next gun just record you making them and upload to youtube for everyone to see. then how can you lie..
