Okay, the new Blox 2.0 is much much better. This time we have a nice windowed area, a kick ass menu, an auto updater, and a smoother engine. I have the first demo below, plus a screenshot of the game is attached.

Its a good small little game, quite addicting. I got 28,550 point , i think it would be really usefull if the bloxs that hit you disapeared diffrently so i am aware of hos much i have been hit though.

yea explosion would be good, also, you can make animations for the face, like it looks more tierd when you be hit by more blocks, also, you can give extra life by escaping from 100 or 200 blocks ( if it's not already like that xD )
and its fun =D

An update is coming soon for the auto updater and some of the game, so please be sure you allow the auto updater.

In the new update I plan on,
-Teleport
-Hit Counter
-Blox Explosion
-Animations for the face.
-Extra health for every 100 blox you dodge.
-Auto updater update to allow it to install the newest update.

So this is what you asked that question in the DBPro forum for the other day. It was pretty fun, I only got like 11000 on quickplay though. I found a weird bug, when you move the game's window around, everything a except the background disappear(attached in post). But anyway, nice game.

Also Zeus, theres a bug in the first screenshot, the score in the corner says 10850 but the message box says 10800

That is where the box immediately shows up, it doesn't update it. I will fix that easily.

Auto-Updater? AWESOME!

Okay, played it, here's my critique :

Not high enough to make the high scores, but very fun games nonetheless. I felt that the bounding box for the character sprite was a little big, but that's just my sore loser speaking. Very fine and polished game.

My only improvement would be to make it a little more obvious that the character was hit, maybe a flinching face or something. Again, very awesome game.

Don't worry about that, I can fix it easily.

Don't worry guys, Blox 2.0 is still going on, my internet went out midnight on New Year's eve.

But so far here is what I have accomplished,

-Quickplay Mode (Highscore Mode)
-A more obvious way of being hit
-75000 Score!!!

What I have to work on,

-Classic Quickplay Mode
-Challenge Mode
-Ribbon Mode

Expect a new update when classic mode is done which should be by the fifth.

A new version is ready, unfortunately, my internet's speed is SLOOOW right now for some reason, we usually have 100ms ping, right now it is 40ms ping. Blargh. Once the internet is working, the new update will be, also, deny your auto updaters as they think Demo 2 is available.

I don't pay any attention, I am just going by what dad said about it, either way it goes it has been slowed down drastically. lol. Guess I should look that up.

Haha, can you beat 75k? It is a lot easier btw, it takes away less health if you get hit and the character is smaller.

EDIT: 6.7k! i win! xD

oh also, i have another suggestion: make a key that speeds up the speed of the rocks and doubles the score rate, like, for example you press space or shift and the blocks gets double speed and score is doubled too

Just to explain a bit, ping and "speed" are a different thing. Ping is the time it takes to send data, then receive response data (latency, or the reason online games lag). And perceived download speed, is the amount of data that can be sent(bandwidth).

I think you should do something where the boxes arnt just randomly spawned, there are patterns that you have to work through that get progressivly harder.
