It was just a joke... I was saying that Bond1's Apocalypse came. Then ended.

Now another one...

I didn't suggest that, I've seen enough of it on these forums!

Sorry, got you and Bloody James mixed up some how My bad.

And my final choice for the next theme is, as I already stated, grungy horror. A good example would be wolf's euthanasia project...

Why not do a stock-media challenge. Any theme can be accepted as long as it is made using media that comes with FPSC. It would challenge users participating in the compo to be creative and we would surely see many unique screens.

Challenge the community in the next compo. With the use of some creativity, imagination and inspiration we can have one screenshot compo that splits itself from the other "boring" continuous grunge/horror pattern.

What do you guys think?

Hmm... very true. Grunge/horror would be fun, but we've all seen that. Why not happy scenes? Most of us here build dark, filthy, scary levels. There are a few puzzle games, yet I've never seen a 'happy' level/game. But anyways, a stock media challenge would be cool. But... it would be extremely difficult due to the lack of media (although there is a lot, they seem to not stack up) and the fact that everyone here hates stock media (fine, most people).

I like the stock media idea. Whetam made some great BOTB titles, using only stock media.

Peer pressure Oh well. Good luck to all entrants. I assume we can add shader maps (normal/specular) to the stock media?

Yeah, I think I'll wait for something better as well. Shame about horror being turned down, it is the most popular and practiced genra around here in the first place; so it would have been interesting to see entries from all of the experienced horror addicts Anyway, my prizes still stand for the next competition. Good luck!

Guys, you are just making PWP feel bad again.

Yeah, stock media looks bad. That's the point. The point is to make it look good.

stock is cool! I always loved stock and I always will! What is so wrong about it? Stock is just awesome! I see it's too awesome for some to handle...

Hell, if that's the theme I will enter, but I also would have liked to see Apocalyptic compo, but stock rules!

I also tried something original for Wildlife, yes there was nice screenies, very nice, but not much. I see some are afraid to challenge themselves.

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The courage to change the things that I can,
And the wisdom to know the difference.

The stock models are only frowned upon now because they're at about the same quality level as Medal of Honor: Allied Assault.

That game is about 8 years old now.

Jeku always gets drunk and tries to Moderate the ocean. Tirelessly slapping the waves as they roll in.

That's like Giulio II giving Michelangelo a pack of Crayola Markers and asking him to paint the Sistine Chapel.

I guess, as long as their stock... What do you think, Coach?

Sorry.

My apologies...

Is it over yet?

I'm sorry for my seemingly terrible choice; hopefully the next winner will choose something other than what he would personally like to see just to satisfy the community.

@InsaneArts, um, the contest is over. And the next one isn't apoc...

Anyways, the 13th has already started, and a new prize has been added: the SoundFX Pack V2 (created by me).

Quite a few members seemed to be looking forward to your first choice, and others seemed to like the idea of another post apocol. theme. You can't please everybody, but at least you did take the community's feedback into account. And I have to say, it will be interesting to see all of the different scenes everyone can throw together with the same material.

That's why I had a hard time choosing between apoc and stock - I expected everyone to use materials out of similar libraries. Like the new apoc pack. Again, sorry.
