Unhelpful Titles don't help you at all. Next time you post a thread, make the title of the thread relevant to the topic.

You can find lots of tutorials on the internet for software. As a beginner, you can play around with Anim8or. It's free and you can make simple models quickly.

I would recommend wings 3D, Search "Wings 3D tutorials" on youtube, There's alot of them!

I can't help you with FPSC as i don't use it!

blender has a steep learning curve but once you have the basics its really easy to use, it also allows you to export as .x file which is what FPSC uses, however don't overdo it, wait till you can make, uv map and texture models before you start bringing them into other programs

Milkshape is meant to be a very good intro program. it costs £20? and has a perfect .x exporter. I know that it also has very good animating system.

Take a look at the resource thread at the top of this page.

Milkshape is an excellent modeling app and worth quite more than the measly $20 you spend on it.

Truespace is a good choice its free and has a decent amount of tutorials. it has several tutorials covering just about all of its features on its site.

blender is probably your second best choice in the free modeling programs. the only problem is the interface which is rumored to be getting fixed in the next update.

cinema 4D's has a free never ending demo but im not sure what exactly its limitations are. if you want to play around with it its your choice. if you choose to buy it i suggest trying to get a student license through your school(that's assuming that your in high school or college)

while milkshape is a good program i would suggest starting with something free to see if 3D modeling is for you. and if you begin to excel with it you can choose to buy a more powerful program. but most free ones if you understand how to use it have all the power you would need.

I'd recoomend blender. Honestly, I find it less annoying when they author of the thread actually admits his or her problem, such as the fact that he's new. If that's the case, I'd first read the top few posts on this thread (rules of this board) and some of the forum rules (seperate from forum rules). Anyways, to plainly answer your question, I first started with wings, but found it frustrating, then moved on to Art of Allusion, which was I gave up on after literally 30 minutes, and then to Blender. Blender, on the other hand, was frustrating at first, but later grew on me and was easy to use. For FPSC, you have to make a .FPE file of the exported, textured, and animated (given if the model is dynamic or static) .x model, (the FPSC entity maker downloaded from the FPSC downloads section on this website would be perfect for this, as it defines all of the requirements for a .FPE file to work, and is as simple as punching in a number, pressing enter, and using your mouse a little). As for your final question, the normal FPSC does not require scripting, but many people decide to download or buy addon packs for it and use their scripting knowledge of DBP language (which is what FPSC was made with, and uses) to customize many things. Hope I helped and didn't feed you wrong information! -SJHooks

Get Wings 3D, google it.

Then go to youtube, and search for my name (Adam Eisfeld). You'll find 3 full-length video tutorials on modeling in Wings 3D made by me. They'll get you off the ground with how things work. The first video covers navigation in Wings, the second two cover model deformation and manipulation.

Then start googling around for other modeling tutorials. Poopinmymouth.com has one of the most popular character modeling tutorials.

As for getting models into FPSC, it takes a while. You need to generate .fpi script files for the models. There are several programs out there that help with this, including a free one called Entity Workshop. Search for it on the forums here, its made by _Wehtam.
