First of all i want to say that i am very happy
and excited to be on this forum, and i am looking
forward to learn a lot from you and to make some
friends on the way
I want to buy the FPS Creator and to have my own
game made, but before i do that i need to know a
few things:

1. Does it matter what graphic card i have on my pc
for making good quality games?
2. I dont know any coding or programming, so is the FPS
Creator the right choice for me?
3. When making a game, do i have several crime scenes
or can i also create my own like fighting on a boot in
the middle of the sea?

Thats all my questions, if you can help me out and answer
then that would be great, thank you.

To make a good quality game with FPSC your grpahics card will need to support at least pixel shader 2.0 and ideally pixel shader 3.0 when V117 comes out to take advantage of the latest graphics features.

FPS Creator is the perfect choice for you. It provides you with a game development framework which can be used to make commercial quality games with no programming knowledge whatsoever.

You can learn as much or as little about modelling / texturing / scripting etc as you like and your games with naturally get better with experience.

Most importantly the next release of FPSC (V117) is going to deliver next gen features that will allow very high quality games to be made.

There are no pre defined scenarios in FPSC. You can use the media that comes with it to make games but you can make anything your imagination can come up with.

Like Nomad said, you can create games with no coding experience. However these tend to be very...Stock. Gunning-down type stuff we've all seen. With some ingenuity it can be fun, but overall the best way to make a game is to learn how to script. It's like coding, except much easier. MUCH easier. Literally:

:condition:action

If all the conditions return true all actions are done on that line. It's very simple.

And how long should it take me to learn to script well?
Also, will the FPS Creator work with Win7?
Thank you.

Start by taking a good look at the scripts provided with the engine and learn what you can from them. Simple logic scripts are fairly easy to write but AI scripting will be more of a challenge. These should also help when you 1st start

Yes. Perfectly

Basically you need to get FPSC. You will be able to make proper commercial quality first person shooter games instead of just playing them and in a few months we will have a next gen quality game engine that doesn't require any programming for $50. You can't really get better than that.

If you want to make a basic game, share it with friends, and possibly go commercial with it, and treat game design as a hobby, then FPS Creator is the right choice for you. If you are serious about becoming a game designer, and possibly a future career in games, I'd suggest you forget FPS Creator and start looking at some more update to date engines such as the Unreal Development Kit, and take the time to learn a programming language such as C#. Of course, the second choice requires a lot more time and effort, but the end result will be infinitley more rewarding.

When i am looking at the tutorials with the DarkBasic
software and the coding, it looks like something that i will
never be able to learn and know, at least not enough to make
a great game and make a living out of it.
I would love to learn it but when i think about and watch the
videos that show a little of coding, i start to think that it
will take me years to be good at that.
I just cant believe that i will make it, maybe you have some
tips for me or tell me if i ma right about it.
