Times have changed since 2005. The old newsletter editor, Richard Davey, even featured the HL2 zombie in a TGC newsletter.

However, it is no longer acceptable to post commercial game models or anything of the sort here, even for non-commercial, fan games.

Nah. I have ported a couple of the weapons and the proper headcrab zombie (headcrab remains, original anims also) to FPSC, but I would never release them.

Your signature has been erased by a mod because of the forum's stupidly tiny restrictions, along with other things such as lack of automatic image resizing, and lack of embedding videos.

Using media from other games / engines in FPSC can be a very good thing from a learning perspective. Understanding how to rig and import character models / weapons and even non animated objects is a useful exercise.

You can even upload screenshots of the results on the forum but you can't distribute anything at all.

I wouldn't do it m8, maybe just for practise in getting stuff in FPSC (Like I do) but I wouldn't release anything or show an image with HL2 stuff in (Unless it's a source/Orange Box game your showing )

That would be fine. I think you might have to include who inspired you to make it the way it is if you were inspired though.
