Well, what options in blender do I need to select to make a normal map be able to tile itself. Do I just need to select the tangent mode?

Isocadia

PS: If this wasn't clear enough. I have a seamless texture but I want to create a seamless normal map that goes with it.

i believe what you are looking for is under the texture sub-category (part of the materials category). if you manipulate the xrepeat/yrepeat, you can make the texture repeat itself.

Hope that makes sense

Ok, that is for applying the normal map. But if I want to create one, let say I made a high poly version in ZBrush, is the normal map ZBrush creates tileable? And if I make one in blender, do I need to select tangent, world space or one of the other 2 or doesn't it matter?

Tangent, and world space are different methods of rendering normal maps, each with their own benefits. What exactly are you wanting to make a normal map for?

Ok, let me explain it, I got a tileable texture ( for walls and roads etc. ). So no matter how big I make the plane, the texture repeats itself and the bricks stay the same size. But now I want to make a normal map to make the bricks really come op. But the same as the texture, I want it to repeat itself endlessly so that I can also create bends in the road. So I want the normal map to any random object where I say I want that texture with that normal map to tile on. So when I create the normal map. Is there a specific normal map baking option I need to select?

I hope you understand it now. Its like in photoshop you go to layer effects and you chose texture or something. You can change the size, and so the texture repeats itself to fill all the space.

Edit: Well, I'm trying to make some sort of animation for the beginning of the game. And you see the name of the game on screen and then alot happens. But those letters are bugging me. Because of the fact I need water and fire ( particles or something like that ) I wanted to make it in 3D. But I making letters in 3D seems a bit hard. So do you guys know a program that converts text into a basic 3D mesh so that I can edit it in ZBrush or something?

Well, atm it is fantasy rpg. I'm still trying to come up with a name. But if there is no such program I might give it a shot in blender, just bloking out the letters and then edit them in ZBrush.

@Isocadia: Blender can convert text into a mesh by itself. Which version are you using? In both 2.49/2.5 you can either type the text into a text editor window and select an option from one of the header menus to convert it into a 3D object, or you can add a text object from the add menu. At this point, you have a flat, 3D object containing the text. You can edit the text by pressing TAB, or change the font and size. For converting it into a 3D mesh that you can extrude,
2.49:
- Select the object.
- Press Space to bring up the tool menu.
- Select Object > Convert Object Type
- Select Mesh
2.5:
- Press Space to bring up the search menu.
- Type "convert" and select the Convert option that shows up.
- Select "Mesh from Curve/Meta/Surf/Mesh"

Hope that helps

Well, I tried you text function, the only problem is that right now I have a kinda curly font. And when I create the text its creating faces outside of the letter. Is there a way in blender that you can like "paint" over the parts you want to fill, because it creates a really high poly ( ok, not so, but still anoying ) mesh and to go edit it by hand doesn't seam like a nice job.
