No, I am trying to point out the fact that if anyone is upset with this software they should move on to "bigger and better things" and not linger to bring the software, software designer, and community down.

Woah! Hardly a mature way to react (in my personal opinion) and highly inflammatory. Maybe you should have stayed neutral?

I really think CoZ is doing fine debating his stance on the matter and we really don't need this kind of playground ganging up to be honest. As it will just get the topic locked

Does this give CoZ the right to take so much away from the community now?

Its one thing to contribute to the good of the community with input, helpful suggestions, and constructive criticisms but to spend so much time belittling the software and bringing the community down does not contribute anything of value.

I think he is just saying that it may be better to listen when you disagree with someone so you might better understand their point of view, rather than telling them to shut up.

People change. COZ obviously made a few great contributions, however, we disagree with his actions and his badmouthing of FPSC.

And the fact of the matter is that FPSC is still as noob friendly as it ever was! The difference is that it's now friendly to intermediate and advanced users as well.

Never was anyone promised they could make even a "B" grade game (let-alone A, AA or AAA) without scripting, new media and effort. It simply said you can make a game without that knowledge and it delivers.

I'm reminded of the companies have to put warnings on kids superhero costumes that say things like "WARNING: Cape does not allow user to fly". It should be obvious but apparently it never is.

But I do agree with him. I am a fan of CoZ so when someone verbally starts to attack him i get defensive. Ill erase my earlier comments and leave this thread.

Yeah, that was my first attempt after installing DarkVOICES, so I hope I get better with practice.
I was suprised at how easy it is to use DarkVOICES, and it is really amazing.
Like I said before in this thread, the lipsync alone was worth the wait for me, because it is just awesome to have talking characters in game.
No more cutscenes, because now it can be scripted into the gameplay just like the modern commercial titles.
And can anyone say Machinima?

This certainly provides a different path in game creation/design. Consider the production time in game creation and the design/creativity in having this!

I locked this before it deteriorates further because of some members intolerance of others opinions - a behaviour which is not welcome here.

Locking it now has saved those posting inflamtory personal attacks against other members (whether or not you like their personal opinion) from having action taken against them to kurb their over enthusiatic remarks.

Personal abrasive attacks against your fellow members are not tolerated and those who have done it in this instance and you will know who you are can count themselves very lucky.

If I see any more of it I will stamp it out by whatever means is necessary.

Please ensure you treat all other members with the utmost respect at all times.

For now I will go through this post and enter a comment against perportrators profiles to ensure their unacceptable behaiviours are noted for future reference of the FPSC Moderators and that will count against you if such behaviours continue.

You have been warned.

Thank you for your co-operation.
