How is that pulsating thing working, with a particle/decal?
Quote: "well so I am trying a few things for lights and pipes so the first few attempts will likely suck big time and still have to get around to changing the floor texture..
I inserted some pipes to get a feel for what they should look like and what would look good on the walls and ceilings, the first thing I noticed was that is some sections will the ceiling grate segments they were barely visible which is pointless...so some pipes along the wall would be better suited but requires a different design to the current ones, so I will be running some tests over the next few days."
They look good, but maybe a bit further from the wall to allow room for maintenance work and to make the shadows more noticable for the ceiling ones.
The idea of running along the wall would make them stand out more, and especially so if placed in front of the grate on the wall. (but that might look funny)
I like what you have so far, but I like some of the other concepts better, like the right hand side of the first image in the thread.
The top and bottom images of the right side look like the inside of a spaceship, which is what I like. (ribbed look)
So, I guess I would choose metal over concrete for the textures too, but that is just my preference so it doesn't really matter.
That one with the post didn't cut it for me because I can't stand getting stuck on something like that in a fire fight.

Maybe steel support columns near the sides leaving the center open could be an option. (ribbed look)

If you use an x-bracing design in the column, then it too could be a shadow caster like your grate, right? (just a thought)
The lighting in your screenshots and video is very nice, and those grates set it off.
Well done, and keep up the good work.
