Nope, rendered.

Quote: "That one is my favorite. Doesn't even look like FPSC thanks to the shadows Nice work. You will get an official pack, that's for sure. And I'll buy it, that's even more for sure"

The shadows are nice little effects. However this will be impossible to a build a full level with only grate shadows with between 3 to 6 hours just to compile a complete level.

So I have been building 3 different sample maps. One for high end systems one for mid and one for low end system. As there are segments tailored to each.

I am going to give a glimpse on the part I am busy with now....for the completed one you will have to wait till it is done.

A large 4 way access corridor with some ledges railings perhaps a scifi-ish brigde.

I had the problem of creating multi leveled levels with tunnels and to make it as user friendly as possible so the other ideas had to be left out as the placement would have been a major pain in the butt.

What makes this nice is that you now have a small medium and large areas.

Very nice. I like the middle one of the texture styles.
Does this pack contain many different parts. Becouse it's really better build tunnels from many parts.

Well Wizard is a pretty generic word that many could mix up, but id is more hardcore, being both a place and top game maker, so your iddy ^_^

Noes ! I have been girlyfied.....
BTW thanks for the mail I replied...

Soooooooo guys, I decided to add an extra mesh or two to suite some textures better made all the maps and made the grunge and clean versions also felt that some were a we bit bright others could use some copperish tint.

Over all I am now happy with the looks on this one.I have also gone and tweaked the PS2 to suite each texture....as well as adding a tint to the specular map of each textures...It is likely that I will have to add a few more segment stuff as this pack contains no entities what so ever...

Oi ! Just when I decided that should be enough...a crank out another mesh set...Finally got some pipes to my liking...

Also added another texture to replace one of the older rusty ones I didn't like...

Just have to add the bottom section to the pipes and make a special floor with a grate for pipes to go into and a perhaps a one or two extra pipes...and a pipe texture or two

you will also notice that a made new grate texture, also made a special mesh for the pipes.I just hate pipes that end abruptly....

*sigh* !! so far so good for a month end release...

Thanks for pointing that out...a 512 x 512 texture doesn't cut it.Will have to bump it up to 1024 x 512...

Hi guys here are the final screenshots and video before the final product.Which will be done next week and then off to lee.So perhaps at least another few weeks before it is finally ready.

This is basically a test section that I captured one or two metal textures still need to be added.I have spend the last two days optimizing the meshes for the final product.

You will notice this section is pretty awesome now that the uvmaps have been fixed as well as been optimized. There is also no known collision issues so far within standard usage.

The whole scene is made out of segments only the blue lights are entities but they are stock ones.At roughly 69333 polygons it isn't half bad...with only a 2 to 4 frame rate drop on average.

Which means you can load a few more segments before noticing a real drop if frames....

The new meshes allows also for better entity placement as well as having the benefit of a few less polygons to worry about.

I do hope you guys enjoy the final product a lot of planning and effort has gone into making this....I can seriously see some great games that can be made with these.

@PW Productions

Lol now I am most embarrassed because that is when I started out.You know some thing you just want to hide and keep it a dark little secret.

But yeah thanks guys , but there is still a long road ahead.I have only just started using new more advance techniques and experimented a bit.

Previously I relied quite heavily on boolean ops which this time around I tried my hand at shape modeling but I do believe boolean still play an important role.Well shape modeling requires nearly double the time, but I think it is a lot more rewarding to take a simple box and mold that into something.

Lol here I am calling shape modeling "advance" when boolean should be more advance.

BTW I have decided on the next project. As some of you know and for those who don't each project that I do I set a target for learning some thing new.Now that I am busy with shape modeling this would be perfect opportunity to take that one step further...

The next project "Ice" tunnels like getting lost in Antarctica. This would be perfect for the X9 water were are waiting for. This is quite a nice little project but I am hoping to succeed as it is a rather difficult one.

Hi guys,

Just to let you know I will be putting the finishing touches on it today.

Also some twist of fate intervened....This pack is NOT compatible with X10 so it will not be sold officially.

But that is not all bad.....

So look out for the release thread tomorrow...

Hi guys nearly done....only have about another odd 60 segment thumbnails to create.....and then onto the prefabs creation...which is about another 200

Oh BTW I completely forgot about the TGC store so I sent Janet a mail early this morning.Because Rick and Lee is on leave "again"?...
So it might be another day or two before I hear my fate....

If it doesn't get approve I guess I will jump from the closest virtual bridge I am just worried "null space" will intervene....

As far as I'm concerned this could have been a model pack. Are the tunnels going to be sold separately? Sorry if this was already asked. If they are I suppose you would make more moola that way.

Anyway, I will be using at least one tunnel if not more in my current game.

@F l a t l a n d e r

Well Lee is back on Monday then we will take it from there....
Well there is the free stripped non-commercial version and you are able to buy the the full untextured mesh set for 10 dollars via Paypal from next week...

But as a pack it is unlikely to be released officially better suited to the store.

I will be revamping concrete tunnels 2 first and then release both if approved via the store....or via paypal once I get a website sort ...
