Pick the ones with a fantasy theme? Its not very complicated, just pick the packs that contain the objects that you need to build your game, architecture, props, characters, etc.

I'd also recommend asking in the place where people who use that stuff go - the FPSC forums...

I recommend using your own models, nothing beats your own media

Well nothing satisfies your exact demands like making your own models, unless of course, you want the best quality and your not that talented at that sort of stuff, so yeah... buy the stuff... but practice makes perfects.

I am getting good at using Blender when making 3d models, I can make static objects like bridges and various buildings, but human models I am still learning.

I enclosed a picture of a bridge I have made in blender, textured to look like a wooden bridge, the only thing is when i load the x model into Dark Basic Professional, it is black

make sure you have the texture assigned as part of the material before you export.

They tend to come up black in DBP if you only "textured" it in the UV layout.

This may be a day late and a dollar short but, you have to load the texture into dark basic and apply it.

so

Load image "texture"
Load object "bridge"
texture object bridge,texture

(not exact syntax but you get the point)
