Alright, not cool, I try to update my models thread and its been locked oh well new thread, and I'll be updating this as constantly as I update my polycount thread, which is pretty often. So expect more from me, and hopefully some improvement. Alright, so first off here are two models I did in the last two days, not entirely done with either of them, but they're starts.In order from old to new

Nice You've improved. But your metal sheets have white outlines, I think there's a UVMap problem or something.

i like the normal map for the eh... flat stuff, however i think the texture is a bit too messy and it is a bit.. too much goin on there, it is also so brown so it looks more like color than rust to mee.

The rock there looks quiet ok tho, cant bother to crit it down atm, real tired and first REAL schoolday starting today heh ^^

There's some normal map errors on the side. I would suggest running a normal mapping filter over this to get a good normal on the grain. You should also add some areas of intrest, Some ingraved text, A small plate. Also keep in mind weathering and erosion, The paint deformation tool could come in handy for that Last thing for now, Add some screws or bolts, At the moment they look like someone used glue to keep them on

More defined wood patterns would be nice too. You may also want to revise that moss, seems rather random and limited right now.

I actually fixed up my bench quite a bit, but I don't have any pics and I hate to do this, but ill do it just so I can save up to buy myself a new rig.

I'm willing to take small jobs. keep it to a single assest per order (just to make it easier on me) just email me the object, refs(optional) the specs, and ill negotiate a price based on these factors, (the price will never go above 15 US dollars) I cannot make assets FPSC ready unfortunatly. My work of course is in this thread and keep it to environment assets, I don't do guns or characters, but I will consider melee weapons.

haha thanks frozen and its grey becuase the real bench is quite desaturated.

alright, more newby goodness I decided to work on a full enviro for once. A level I hope. And basically the player lives in a city thats pridominantly building based. And by that I mean nobody EVER leaves the buildings. They're all interconnected by walkways and other means of transportation, and house everything you might need and more, so there's really no reason to go down. But, the player decides to, and finds that the lower he/she goes, the more poor it becomes, until you walk out of you building and it becomes a full-on slum. I kinda got inspired by the polycount project going on now. And I thought itd be good practice, here are some ideas and really rough sketches, (ive changed the walkways) but the general idea is there.

looks good, but even a high poly pallet wouldnt be that smooth, its more rough wood you know . Nice job on the models mate

Yep its a nut. Oh and here's a youtube tutorial I made on my new channel, basic hard surface modeling in max with commen methods such as floating geometry, getting circular bevels into a mesh, and control edges

sorry guys, not making this one game ready, all my models from now on will be purely high poly until I get a new rig.

So here's and update on the cannon, this this is harder than I thought. Took some crit made some proportional changes and added wheels, almost there....

texturing doesnt mean game ready. texturing is unwrapping and painting.
