Thanks! I am trying to round everything up right now. Cosmic said he will try to get things out to me this week and Zwarte said his computer is down. So the release maybe a little longer.

As far as if there are any models left, then yes. I have most of the outpost stuff done, but nothing from the basic training. So if anyone wants to do stuff for that then go right ahead. Say like tents, targets and whatever else you can think of.

I think I really killed this pack when I blew up at Josh, but I have still been making stuff for this. So you apes want to live forever?

Alright I'll get started on those and them when I have a few of them done i'll send them your way.

I'll try to talk to Josh and the others and see if maybe I can't get them to come back and help so we can get this all finished. We had a really good team going...not sure what the whole blow up was about, but however we can have a come back tour. lol

hey Zwarte, I found out what was wrong with my fpsc but now i have another problem with the arachnid model you gave me. It just sits in one place bouncing up and down. I can't figure out what's wrong with it. Btw, can you send me the main script please?

Thanks

Bozo that would be because he doesn't have the finished models. Also why do you have the unfinished models? I haven't released them yet.

Be patient guys, There is still alot of work that needs to be done to get this project completed. We are are working hard to get it ready, I've been down for a few weeks, and am just now able to get working on this again. Starmind will keep you updated, as things move forward.

Thanks everyone. TCP.

no worries bozo we all have things we're good at and things we're not. Like me for example I'm good with creating the models but haven't learned to texture or anything yet. That's why I'm doing models and someone else is texturing them. This is truly a community project because we're all helping each other.

As far as a next community project I think when it gets to that point I might setup a browser based chat so we can all get together and brainstorm and plan out. What ya'll think?

Maybe you could all help with the Christmas Time Community Pack? After this is done of course. We already have Crysis, Omegamer, and a few others working on it.

How's work coming on the models? Not to bug people, I just don't want this to become one of those threads that people stop looking at and the project never finishes like i have already seen so many other times.

This coming from the Bozo that started the thread and then disappeared forever!!! lol j/k (sorry had to get a joke in there somewhere lol)

I'm not sure how everyone else is doing, but I can tell you how I'm getting along.

My computer was originally design for a friend of mine that is visually impaired so it was never meant to run anything over-taxing. I've had it for almost a year now and well...it's dieing because I abuse it way more than it was ever meant for. Right now I can barely get online (actually being online right now is a fluke) so I'm gonna do a fresh format/reinstall so Ill be out of commission for most of the night.

Once I get it up and going I'll be back to working on the basic training outpost which is coming along good and then I'll get the models over to starmind for texturing.

We're working dude it's just it's going at about the same pace that two snails screw.........very slowly.

I've also got a thread in the script forum trying to find out how to do something for part of the obsticle course.

OK, I know your going crazy, So here's a shot of the troopers in-game. More to come...

I'll be sending these and some other stuff to Starmind over the weekend, so with a little luck he will post some more screens next week.

Thanks Cp for that! I am working on a few things at the moment, but I have just talked to Josh about doing some segments for this pack. My segments are still with the wiz, so until I hear from him they are pretty much worthless. I have two more bugs to animate and I am pretty much done on my end, unless Cp has something for me to animate.

This is a non commercial free community pack. So yes when it is done it will be for everyone. Problem is many of the contributers have either left or unable to be reached. Cp and I are the primarys on this now. I have asked Josh to take up on the slack that has come my way.

You and others can still feel free to make models and send them my way until I think that we have enough models for a pack.

If you have models that need to be textured or animated you can send them my way, but it will make the release of the pack that much longer. I know that Cp has been doing alot of texturing for this, so if you can texture great, if not try. Same with the animations.

This is a community pack, I would like for those that make models try first and if that doesn't work make a post and I am sure some one on here can help you get the look you are going for. I don't about Cp and Josh, but I have alot of stuff sitting waiting to get finished.

I am looking forward to releasing this pack. It has many great things in it from many people. You all will not be to disappointed for the wait.

NOTE:
If you sent things to Zwarte, I need you to send it to me. This will make sure that it is in the final pack.

Yeah sorry you haven't heard much from me the past two weeks. I had to get my computer running somewhat stable (it's on life support til I get a new one in like two months) and been having a medical issue so between the two I haven't had much of a chance to work on anything. I'll try to get at least a few models done up tomorrow (sunday) and sent over to starmind or whoever is texturing them.

Okay so promised yesterday I'm working on the obstacle course parts again today. Does anyone know what the crouch height is so I can make a part where you have to crawl under some barbed wire or something like that???

Sorry been working alot with this snow. If you want a crouch height example import a vent door frame. This will give you a reference to work from. I do this with all my projects. I have a milkshape file for a door, wall and floor. Just makes it easier to model. Hopefully I can get home and start doing some work on this and other stuff. Hope this helps.

Cp told me about these couple of weeks ago and he is still working on them. When you are done with your models send them my way and make sure to put starship troopers pack in the subject line, so I know what it is. Thanks.

Man, Zwarte, that Arachnid is really coming together! Did you model for the movie?

Thanks. If I could redo it today it would be great, because I could make it a lot better. But I no longer have Milkshape, and wings 3d can't handle animations. I have gotten a lot better though. If any entities need to be done, I can make, texture, and get them game ready. They just can't be animated.
EDIT: I don't know what program you are using, but a single segment is 5 units on the grid in milkshape 3d, if you use fragmotion to export. So 2.5 grid units would be couching hight I would assume.

I believe that Cp has the morita almost done, if he does not animated , I can. I will use the stock famas animations and add hands to it with new animations. I have found that blender is working great for new animations. Although I have not tried to do a weapon yet.

Glad you liked the archie!
