Hey, It's OutdoorGamer from Gamers Feed and I would like to ask you all to join in my contest I am hosting right now. I am asking you to create the scariest one level game you can and submit it. Below is the Prizes and Outline.

Game must:
-be one level long.
-run a good framerate.
-not be a game you are working on.
-show ATLEAST one custom model.

Prizes:
The title of Scariest Game. (I will make a Banner.) 1st, 2nd, 3rd all will have a banner. And now thanks to the gracious donation of AbdulAhad everyone will receive his weapon rig. However, he has set guidelines for the use of the rig. Don't have flak/projectiles and you must own the model and the animation to rig it on. Also, thanks to Kravenwolf you all may choose on of his models from the tgc store.
1st place:
-I will feature your game on my site with a full in depth spotlight on your game of your choice.
- Massive Overlay Pack donated by anayar
- Putrid zombie pack donated by rolfy
- Retexture pack of stock weapons by Wolf
- Choose 5 of Kravenwolf's models from the tgc store
- 1st place banner

2nd place:
- Grunge Segment Pack donated by TiTaniUm
- 2nd place banner

3rd place:
- 3rd place banner

Contestants:
JRH
Wolf
bman332211
Leongamerz
The Zoq2
Poloflece Games
Nazareth Entertainment
Drop Dead Fred
vortech
Ertlov
Chad301
xilith117
NinjaKiller
Metal Devil123
Crimson Night
charger bandit

= Entered into Contest
= Disqualified

Games will be judged on:
- Originality (something not yet done before in fpsc)
- Mood (the overall feeling of the game)
- Custom Media including sounds, entities, etc.

Attached is the scoresheet in pdf.

(Edited on Feb. 26)

I hope you all will have fun with this. Don't be afraid to be creative, creativity is encouraged.

Deadline: March 5, 2011 due to complications.

Regards,
OutdoorGamer

January 30 is a little soon, don't you think?
I would make it something like February 28th. /troll
I seriously think January 30 is just a little to soon to push something out.
Maybe some time like, 14th Feb?

...almost tempted, if I have time.

http://gamersfeed.weebly.com/

...not really very much to look at on your site.

Won't be a ton of traffic to see the full in depth spotlight, on the winner's game.

Still, this might be fun.

Got a couple of twisted concepts that beg to see the light of day...

I like the idea

Quote: "Game must:

Especially that on one hand only a single level has to be done but on the other hand the FR is a criteria.

The part with the custom model sounds like a BIG challenge but I guess a custom box or door will suffice?

I am allready looking forward to what our horror experts (and newcomers too) will come up with!

In case you find my grammar and spelling weird ---> native German speaker ^^

In that case it's just you

Since english it not my motherlanguage I usually prefer to be blunt, instead of doing tricky things like sarcasm or irony.

Actually I have often thought about a contest, that had a one-level restriction or something similar (like a limited # of rooms or a single enemy) myself.

Just trying to do something different, I have been quite busy. Sorry for lack of updates. I can't wait to see what you come up with.

BTW, I know the one custom model is tough right? lol. I'll probably end up with some blank boxes in the game.

@Seth Black: I would love to see these twisted concepts... might keep my light on at night. lol

I would like to participate, but i am afraid this would be useless.
I am working on my game since september and i am still working on one level, just because i am a perfectionist, also i am the only level designer, so this could mean i will be working on this game for another 2 years.

In short : i am afraid i have to skip this, my game is still not perfect enough for me

I will add you all to the contestants. If I miss one of you please let me know.

@themaniacboy: I completely understand, and I hope to see some screenies of your game soon.

@Wolf: Alright, that sounds fine by me and thank you for your generosity.

@TiTaniUm: I know I keep writing down 2010 on most things lol. Also, if you could send me the pack so I will have it on hand. If you need me to agree to any terms or accept anything let me know.

@Drop Dead Fred: You just posted when I did. lol. I like the segments just let me know about them.

@all: Sorry for taking so long to respond. I live in USA so the time difference is significant.

It's only a one level game. Therefore, storyline won't matter much. Freaky is always good. And I may make a pack of models. I tend to dabble a little. I have started the banners.

I like the first one more. Honestly neither is excellent. Maybe lighten (on the first one) and clarify the first place, as that is meant to be the focal point. Blur the FPSC a tad just so it doesn't draw attention away, but make sure it is easily readable. I am probably just being picky though because I am a graphic designer in training. BTW I'm in I have some great ideas.

@Ertlov: I would like to see two BOTB developers go at it.

@JRH: I would but I don't want to limit this competition to people who may not have the time to create a pack or something similar.

@Seth Black: What a shame, was looking forward to reviewing your entry. You always post informative and funny posts.

@The Zoq2: Just let me know.
