Hi Ched.

I know, I was wondering how many people fell at the first hurdle. I am far from close to being finished, but, my checklist is steadily being completed. If I continue the way I am going, I should be finished for the end of November, giving me 4-5 days bug fixing. Much like yourself.

Although, I did waste a lot time teaching myself how to model and then trying to learn how to texture my models! Really shouldnt try something new when a deadline is that close!

Is Wolf still in? I see Kravenwolf is still in with his top down shooter! It looks awesome! Cant believe thats the sort if thing we are up against! Haha.

Wouldn't it be 6 days to go (plus the remainder of today), including the 5th; as the deadline says no later than the 5th (11:59:59pm Dec 5th)? Sorry, hockeykid and I are in a bit of a crunch with our entry due to my PSU giving out on me so we're going to need every hour to spare.

Yeah this is true Kraven, I'm a day ahead of some people. So yes you are correct.
Thanks for the reminder, and due to the cross in time zones. I will leave the cap to the morning of the 7th my time 1am. That way its fair to anyone around the world to get the entry in.

Starting the collection and hunting around for any threads I may have missed. If your entering and made a thread/game/demo for contest yet have not sent a email to the address in the first post or made a post here. Now is the time to do so.

UPDATE:

Hockeykid and I are still in. We're finishing up our entry now, and should just meet the deadline; which looks to be around 4am (around 5 hours from this post). Hopefully we got our math right on the time zones.

****NOTICE TO ALL ENTRANTS and POSSIBLE ENTRANTS****


Due to some recent contacts been made (here and email). Concerning Game errors, upload issues, PC issues and so on. And also due to the time zone difference and some confusion with the post a thread details (which is not needed, just bonus points).

I have decided to give a Bonus Christmas extension for 48hrs from this date/time posted.

Anyone who has been working hard and submitted their entry, is much appreciated. However your are welcome to add to your entry and reupload if wish. However it is only a 2 day extension, and for the extension I am awarding a bonus 20 points for the select few that made the original deadline.

Any questions, feel free to post. Good luck to those having problems hope to see if you make the deadline.
Also anyone having problems with upload sites, let me know also.

We must be near the deadline now.

I'm guess Defy we update the second post with a list of all who have entered. Can we also get a rough idea of when the results will be announced? Would it also be possible to be sent our individual scores? I'd like to now what went well and what didn't.

I would like to say thanks to Defy & co for supporting this competition and providing me with some additional motivation to actually finish my game. Cheers guys!

I would like to thank all that made the effort to enter their current, past and future work, being a game or demo into the DTO 2011.
Having deadlines with a game can be hard as I have found out myself as with many others I know. However I hope the DTO inspired people to jump back on the game dev wagon, and continue projects they may have started.

@Ched, yes the 2nd post will be updated with only the dev's who made the deadline.

An official date for the announcement of the winners has yet to be decided. Due to the amount of times to play and replay a entry to check all its features etc. Sound, graphics, gameplay.
Custom prizes also which will most likely not start until after christmas, means there is a good chance the winners will be announced the following week after christmas. However I will keep everyone informed.

Thanks also for the kind words. I hope to see some great work and wish everyone in the running, good luck.

Hi guys, Judging is almost to a complete.
I arranged a indepentdant panel (non fpsc users to judge)
The results should be posted as soon as the last results have come in and tallied. If it ever happens again I may aim towards fpsc forum users to assist.
We also had a few delays on certain pc's with one entry however that was sorted out.

Sorry for lack of updates, However I believe i did mention a few weeks after christmas to have time to have a few plays through etc.
And I was planning on doing a video to announce winners for each cat. However due to the time remaining I will make a formal post here in Chat.
Will make an update asap. Thanks for waiting.

Judging has taken longer than expected. Though I hope to have the results posted later today or tomorrow. And contact TGC to arrange prizes etc once that is complete.
