You can animate your object in 3DsMax and export animation. In Dbpro, you can play animation from frame xx to frame xx , so you can deside your animation. Normally the object has all animation include in the same object ...walk , jump , run ,die etc . You can append animation of another object. You can animate manually your object rotating selected limb.

Cheers.

For robots i would suggest that you should make your own limb animating system so it would do things according to the landscape. Premade animations have been the past for a long time for these.

As for getting your limb structure better, i personally haven\'t yet discovered a fast and comfy way, basically i\'m just guessing until i know all the numbers of all limbs.

Just be careful because there are plenty of exporting options that will make you pull your hair out while trying to make it happen in DBP. (i mean you have separate object linked together, still DBP will only see one solid mesh... oh the lengthy hours i have spent with this sh-yat already...)

If you are going to be working with limbs, you need to look at this post.

We posted a dll that you will need when you load 3d models in DBPro.
The dll fixes a confirmed bug in DBPro.

Thanx everyone ... as of what chafari posted: ive tried that technique for other animation programs in the past...its work for a transformable plane in a flight sim, but this project focuses more on as-close to real physics and mechanic operation as i can get, and as what Quel said "yes" i need to apply limb structure to function with mass and friction against the landscape during walk cycles, and there will be a interface for being inside the frame and outside, (first and third perspective)...the simulation level takes place in the desert and frame animation will be used for static objects like tents, housing, and light post ect... i will also have tanks cargo vehicles and choppers operating on a simple ai in the sim...

also thanks Stab in the Dark software for the linkage....

I will u/l images of the continuing project, and the source when i get off work...
