This will be a idea board for my new project: Parasite

Note: Community input is appreciated so come on in and throw around your opinions!

Game Genre: Horror, Survival, action

Game Type: Zombies

Game Background Story: The year is 2018 and the race to create the worlds first functional super solider is underway. In Brazil, European hired scientists are paid to create a viral injection that would increase blood-flow, bone strength, IQ, muscle mass, and overall reaction time. After successful testing on primates, the Europeans push to test on live humans. After a few days the test subjects showed signs of the target effect for the injection, but then the subjects became rampant and would attack on sight. The injection soon mutated and the virus was able to be transferred by blood. Then the zombies spread upward and infect the entire U.S.    *since this story was originally made for robots, there might be some parts i have not transferred over.

I just want to tell you though, if you are going for zombies, the just make sure that it has something that sets it apart from all of those other zombie games out there, otherwise to other people it may just seem like "just another zombie game, meh", But thats just me.

yea, I probably wouldn't play a game called 'ROGUE' but I probably would play a game called 'Project Slap Yo Mamma!' or ' Happytime in Murderland' or even 'Kill Me Once, Shame on Me'

and if it's a zombie survival, I wouldn't want to just follow the maze and kill zombie's, I wanna say "how the heck do I get out of here!" and have some interactive environment like I have to pick up the C4 and carry it to the jammed door and then BOOM! door opened.(which is one of the obstacles in my project) and some broken floors that you need to jump over or a plank over them.

I loved Duke Nukem Forever, I am a Duke Nukem fan and because of that I think that if I can't guess where the enemies are coming from then I'll keep playing, and when they surprize you, they should come fast! so up the speed.

I agree with Section 812, please do not just make it another zombie game? There are wayyy to many of those around here, we need more creative users! But i have faith in you guys, you got this!

thanks for all your support and suggestions guys, we will talk all into consideration. and desecrated studios, we are doing a zombie game now, as it is the easiest genre, and this will be our first game with all 3 of us, so it will be a good test run. keep the C&C coming guys .

Trispefear, i want to start working on a beta real quick. we need to throw ideas around real quick. where do you want the story to pick up at? and what kind of back story for our main character should we have? im thinking about starting off with our character starting in a trashed lab room.(this is how he learns of his immunity). and is stumbling through the facility which is where he finds his teammates at?

Modern is my aim. Look as If this could happen in a year or so. We could have futuristic posters for stuff like xbox 720 or ps4 to make it seem like it is a couple years in the future.

ok. we have the core ideas. we have how the infection started, but i want to change up how it is spread. through scratch/bite is so over-done. lets see if we can find a new inventive way it is spread. We also need to come up with our main characters name, and a back story of his life.

JOURNAL ENTRY 0017:

"We Quickly learnt this was no ordinary infection. It's not a Virus. It's a Parasite. It's eggs are in the breath of the infected. Dont get close. It was intelligent. It was surviving. Growing. Evolving. I'm immune. the whole Task Force is immune. We can still be killed. The first strain of infection only caused extreme hostility. Now it...it...mutates the body. It's only a matter of time until it evolves around our immunity. We have 4 Hours until RV with Whisky. 4 Hours to survive. The power's out. We're low on Ammo. They're closing in. They're Evolving."

yeah, damn good idea . we could use this for an opening cut scene? now lets think of what their mission is. why is the task force wherever they are? We know their ultimate goal, to meet up with Whiskey. but where are they now? and how will they rendezvou with Whiskey?

Where are they: Where the antidote was said to be located

Who is whiskey: Extraction point?

How will they meet up with Whiskey: They need to exit the massive building they were in and cross the city.... On foot?

Whiskey, if I'm inferring correctly, would be a second squad to extract us fromthe evac zone. (Correct me if I'm wrong DoubleRThree). Yes your brazil idea will work . A little edit though. What if whiskey dropped them off outside the building. And they had to fight their way through it to find the antidote. In the mean time Whiskey picks up a distress call and leaves to help but we lose communication with them.

Ok. When you finally exit the facility you find clues of where they went and you follow the clues. (kinda like Halo: ODST)As for obstacles , you could run into the newly mutated strain of the virus. Or humans that hunt zombies but they would kill humans for resources too.

Well...I want to blow everybody away. We can use that for beta stages, that will work perfectly. But for the final project, I want something completely original , something that will keep. The players captivated, stunned, andalso deeper enrich the plot line.

Works for me. See what they say, I like that idea. What about level one being the fight in and out of the building? And level 2 is them chasing after Whiskey squad? I have an idea of how they findoyt where to go. What if when they leave the building they get a faint help call over their radios?(the same one Whiskey heard?) When they find the place they find an abandoned chopper, and the help call was just a looping recording?

ok, Whiskey drops us off at the compound. our squard (Charlie) is comprised of four (4) people. i can someone come up with their names, back story, and what they specialize in? (we need heavy gunner, shotgunner and sniper, the main character will be CQC)
