I was wondering where the agk v1065 went to I was trying to downgrade so that I could develop for the playbook and it is no longer in my products.
I also noticed that the agk windows installer v1076 is on there twice.

Where?

But yeah, what happened to the base installer? I have not touched AppGameKit for some time because frankly I have no idea how to install it any longer, and now I aim to use Tier 2 anyway as Tier 1 is a bit of a mess...

Fortunately I keep archives every now and then...

IIRC, v1065 was a .msi and at some version v107x TGC swapped from to an .exe installer.

I've got 1065 sitting on my hard-drive (I've even got v1028!) but I'm not allowed to redistribute under the AUP.

Try emailing TGC to see if they'll add the 1065 build to your product pages.

if they manage to update the playbook version to the latest 1084, all problems would be solved!

1084 works great for 2d, i think it's the best version so far... i even wiped up all the old versions!

I don't expect to have new playbook ready version of AppGameKit anytime soon. Im using 1065 right now to develop for Playbook and BlackBerry 10 phones (1065 is compatible with them too).

I hope that when 108+ is released they include the ability to export to Html 5 and WebGL builds like the Freedom Engine, as your and able to repackage apps built using those and release them as native apps for Playbook and Blackberry 10, using their webworks application.

You can see more details about their native WebGL support here http://devblog.blackberry.com/2012/02/playbook-native-webgl-development/

Have you tried Webworks?

Its not as easy as it seems to make an html5 into an playbook app!

Jimmanator, if you look at the current www.appgamekit.com page, you'll see that they appear to only be officially supporting Windows, Apple and Android. It looks like all the others have been dropped.

Ancient Lady they still plan to support PlayBook, and Blackberry 10 devices (I just got 7 AppGameKit 1065 based games approved for its launch on jan 30th). Until they natively support it with AppGameKit 108 hopefuly we will be able to export the html5 AGK/Freedom Engine built games to the PlayBook and BB10 using webworks.

Could also be that they focus on getting a stable version for these platforms before adding the rest?

Would be sad if they dropped playbook.

But much have happened lately with bada and meego etc.

Android 2.3 , ZTE Skate , 480x800 , 800 mhz , Samsung Galaxy Y , 240x320 , 832 mhz , Sony ericson arc 480x854 , 1 ghz
Android 4.0 , Dmtech 3g 9738B , 1024x768 , 9.7 inches , 1.2 ghz

I haven't heard any plans to drop Playbook but it's not the main focus right now. Once v108 is released v109 is going to be about fixing bugs and improving stability on all the supported platforms, with NO new commands

Baxslash, so there won't be a Playbook AppGameKit for quite some time right?

I would imagine that as soon as 108 is released part of the plan for 109 would be to add Playbook support in but I don't know for sure. I'll try to find out what the plan is and let you know.

I really hope the AppGameKit gets Playbook and Blackberry 10 support soon due to my games getting a lot more downloads and sales from PlayBook than I do with Android and IOS combined. This year I got just over 600 downloads for Android but over 12,000 downloads for the PlayBook alone. Also this year I got 2 PlayBooks, a Blackberry 10 Dev Alpha Phone, and $1000 from my AppGameKit games by entering them in Blackberry dev events. If it wasn't for the fact I have an Android phone I would drop Android support completely and just go the IOS/Blackberry 10 route.

Until then Ill be sticking to AppGameKit 1065.

From what I can see, don't expect Playbook and/or Blackberry support anytime soon.

It exists in v1065, which has now been reposted in the TGC 'My Products' download page.

@Baxslash thanks for your continuing support to try to bring more info this way

As Apocolyp4 well says, it seems that right now BB is much more profitable than ios+android. I think AppGameKit should cash on this fact and advertise AppGameKit more for potential BB developers
