I've read all the posts I can find on Xbox controllers, but I can't
find anything on using more than one Xbox controller.

Is there a way to index a second Xbox controller?
I have tried set device index but no success.

What plugin are you using?

It is pretty easy really, but depends on what you are using to set it up...

There are DLLs on here [The Forum] which make the job simple...

I was hoping to not use any plugins, though I did see one that caught my eye.

I will go that route if there is no other alternative.

it would seem to me since you can use one xbox controller without
a plugin then set control device should index another one.

Going by the documentation for that command, I would say, it is a single source device, meaning I doubt you are able to record 2 devices or more from it, as it would appear as though it is 'selecting' a sort of default device, the plugin is a DLL which just needs to be in the same directory as the EXE...

This is entirely my assumption, going by my interpretation of the term 'Select'

Quote: "
SET CONTROL DEVICE
This command will select a known control device for use as the current device.
"

Hope this helps, I know of a good XBOX Controller plugin, but it is likely the same one you found, it comes with a nifty source code file, I had great success with it if not, just ask me to look for it too

I appreciate your help MrValentine.

Indeed there is the one from Raven, I think I tried that one before as I have it bookmarked...

Here is another from Todd Riggins http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=155264&b=8

Hope this helps

I just looked that one over and I like it but there's no download section as it suggests on his site.
