Just letting everyone know that i am working on Modelprops 2013 and am now giving this one out for free.

The animation style used with this program involves linking objects together as limbs for animations.

This app can produce .x animated files that will work for darkbasic classic as well as darkbasic professional.

**This program can not deal with bone based animations using a solid mesh**

Please do not try making a game using the hedgehog character as i only drew and animated him for showcase only....unless you plan on making a project thats freeware.

Release Notes: 1.13
-saves animated .x
-saves animated .n3d
-saves animated .dbo
-saves 3mp (text 3d format)

-loads (broken .x) but easily fixable
-loads 3mp (text 3d format)
-loads (broken .3ds) but again just need to reset limb offsets

its not the easiest or best interface and thats why im working on its replacement.

but thanks

For the replacement editor... its going to have alot more functions and easier interface for learning it.
I plan on starting up Doomed Descent again once i have the new editor finished as i plan on drawing all the graphics for it with it.

Thanks and yes its good that im having another go at this.

I basicaly want to get it to a point where drawing and animating characters takes a fraction of the time its currently taking me.

Basicly your gunna see better and more=> animation tools/ vertex editting tools.

here is an updated screen shot:

I have gotten the new detach limb and add limb to work very well keeping child limbs intact.

Im hoping to have a beta release in Late May 2013.

If your not familiar with the original... it saves out animated .x files to be reloaded back into your darkbasic classic/ darkbasic pro applications with smooth animation playback.

load object 1,"blah.x"
loop object 1

as easy as that
