I agree there, Android is kak for me, and I have had several fragahip devices that ran Android...

However Surface is better than both mostly because I can use One Note with it and develop for too

Well ironically I agree with you on all of that, Indicium, but I still think a few other things make the Android tablets a lot better.

I think it depends all on your mindset, if you like your customization then Android will be the only route for you. iOS has very little customization, the guys at Apple have put a lot of thought into how their OS works and it works exactly as they've designed it, and I personally don't mind that.

I think Apple's pricing is actually very reasonable - but I'm not going to try and make this into an Apple war. I'll just say this, I used to be very anti-apple, then I had an unfortunate mishap with my Android phone and replaced it with an iPhone 4 because they're cheap on eBay. Don't regret it at all and it's really changed my views.

It's a much more solid product, the glass on both sides rather than a plasticy feel really makes it feel much more like it's in a different league, I love the way everything ties into the operating system.

I also agree that the surface is much better, but only the surface pro. They remind me more of laptops than a tablet, I wouldn't have any use for a tablet.

The bottom line is that iPad's far outweigh the competition in terms of style and useability.

Sure, Android is ok, but iOS is clearer and more responsive. I can give anyone an iPad and they'll know how to use it and get on with it right away. With Android, I always have to show people what to do, how to exit, how to open a different game, how to browse games. It isn't anywhere near as user friendly.

I have an iPad2, and a Galaxy Tab, and the Galaxy Tab might as well not exist. Seriously, there isn't a tablet game out there that I want, that isn't available on iOS.

People get a bit shirty with this opinion, argue it, but in my eyes anyone who can't see that iOS is the better platform is deluded. I'm a veteran of the Speccy vs C64, ST vs Amiga, SNES vs Megadrive wars of the 80's and 90's, I am the lord of spin, I'm also immune to it, roll up roll up.

The one angle that Android has over iOS IMO, is emulation. But I don't need that on a tablet, I have tons of other platforms to get my retro fix. Heck, even then I have an iCade joystick, 3 different spectrum emulators, Midway Arcade, C64 emulator, and they're all from the App store.

I am the one who knocks...
