I see with interest from kick starter that the team are looking to use the Geany IDE which is very good news I think.

I started thinking that it would make sense if, as they are modifying it to suit, Geany could be used for Tier 2 also using the mingw compilers. As the team are experts I cannot see why they cannot modify the build system, using T1 or T2 to build to windows, android and iOS on a Mac out of the box?

If possible I see this as a very good opportunity for AppGameKit to pull its socks up and more in line with competitors.

Team....any chance?

The thought has crossed my mind but there are a lot of things that Visual Studio and XCode do such as debugging that I don't yet know how to interface with. So I can't make any promises about that being possible. Tier 1 is our focus at the moment and I'll see what I learn along the way.

The screens on their site looks very old and outdated. I hope the AppGameKit IDE will have a more modern look.

personally I don't really care what the IDE looks like as long as it performs well.

I'm not really bothered what it looks like as long it's got more functionality than the current editor.

I don't mind using the current editor. but I'm finding it a bit cumbersome. Although I think it's the tier 1 syntax that I like, I think it's a big improvement on darkbasic.
