If you have posted a review of AppGameKit (and/or GameGuru) on Steam and wish to add the new AppGameKit/GameGuru Reviewer badges on the forums, simply email me at rick@thegamecreators.com with a link to your Steam review, and your actual forum name here and I will get the badge added for you.

You can see the badges in my profile (even though I cannot review my own products)!

You might think it a strange accolade but the reviews really help us with ranking and also provide us with honest feedback in compact form which acts as a lasting reminder of where our products are, and where they can go in the future with your help.

The badge is a way of saying thank you for helping us do that and also tips its hat to users of the official forums which provide some of the most in-depth answers to questions ever asked, and holds a repository of knowledge and material to keep the avid game maker busy for many moons!

Hi, I'm bumping this thread again. Getting positive reviews on Steam helps our sales and helps us fund more development work.

So can I urge our community members to review AppGameKit on Steam? Post a link to your review in this thread and then I can award you with a forum badge.

Thanks,

Rick

I don't know if it is because I have AppGameKit installed standalone, but AppGameKit errors out when I try to install. And as I have not installed it, I can't review it

After a long decision and a hole in pocket - I think its about time I spend £70 for my first purchase on steam to get my future games to Steam Greenlight - its the only way forward

I shall also do a review AppGameKit at the same time (tomorrow)

A bit off topic, but CumQuat should also be eligible for a dbpro developer badge for Malevolence

Thanks Rick. Probably wrong area for it, but is there a badge for releasing DBP games? I'm the guy behind Malevolence: The Sword of Ahkranox. Figured I'd ask while I was here.

+1 same here re the DB Pro developer badge, I used to have one too, a long while ago but it seemed to vanish.
I think it might have gone when I had 2 accounts merged because I got it for Colour Splash which appeared in the TGC Newsletter issue 25 back in 2005!

https://www.thegamecreators.com/pages/newsletters/newsletter_issue_25.html

My profile says I joined 2nd Sep 2009 but I was here way before then

By the way the Steam reviews are going very well. Think I will need to edit mine as it says I have only around 1 hour of usage on AGK. This is because I use the version from the TGC site instead when coding or tier2 so really I have many more hours of use which I think should be reflected in the review. Will update later.

I'm not sure, if I can post two reviews in different languages at Steam (I'm using Steam in english btw.).
