Hi,

Can someone recommend a free tool to make custom TTF font bitmaps that would be compatible with App Game Kit?
I would prefer something that would run on Ubuntu 16.04 64Bit Linux but Windows app would be ok too.
Thanks!

There have been a few tools made to do this. Just keep in mind most fonts have licensing restrictions attached, so be careful using system fonts. I recommend you specifically search online for any fonts you want to use (google "free fonts") and make sure the license allows them to be used in your projects. It isnt hard to find fonts that are free for commercial use, but the one's on your computer probably aren't. (Although if you're using Linux, I guess it's actually more likely that they are lol).

Here are three tools:
AGK Font Generator
Bitmap Font Creator
Bitmap Font Creator [same name, different software]

Just curious, why are you wanting to use bitmap fonts rather than TTF?

Because bitmaps can look way cooler than a simple font.

Here are a couple of great editors which run in a browser, so work on almost any platform!
Can confirm that both export TTFs which work in AGK. Enjoy!

Thanks NGP. I'm new here but I immediately thought about font choice while watching the first tutorials. I don't know if the fonts you talk about are license-free though, are they?
A good source for license-free fonts is LATEX. It's a program for writing scientific documents. It's very powerful. And it has a couple of great fonts. You can find info on Latex on Wikipedia. I use and recommend the Miktex package.

I just don't know yet how to make the connection between these and AGK.
Ideas anyone?
