I'm busy with a little block building educational "game"
Pieces can be added together to build various shapes.
Left Click - add a new "object"
right click, rotate the object in 45 deg increments
Drag the sprite bottom left - delete the sprite

Bars can be added.
Is there some guru's who can give some advice on how to "CLIP" the parts together?
If a "bar" is correctly rotated and in range of the other object, it "clip" in position
See the attached video

Thanks

What I would do is make a series of anchor points on each piece. If two anchors are close together then snap! I can write something up if can send me a few images to work with. How many degrees do they rotate at a time?

Looking at the video it's 45 degree increments. I extracted a cog and joint from the video. Hope that is ok
