Quote: " how is the public vote kept fair?"
it's not. when it comes to $$ comps, without any scrutiny over the voting/access to who voted, how, how long those profiles have been active, etc, it's treacherous and there have been issues in the past.
then it depends on the hosts and their reputation. from that jam's overview:
Quote: "The organizers will monitor voting activities for anomalies and cheating, and retain the right to disqualify entries if they detect suspicious activity. "
but, itch.io doesn't have many tools to help against rigged public voting. the Rating Queue is about the only thing that i can think of.
all of this is why we MODs judged the
[TD] comp since $$ was involved.
finally, back on topic, there is less than a week until the
Finish It! deadline. i don't want to have the only entry so get crackin'!
