I had an idea. I thought if some respected members of the community got together and all said "get rid of him" in one big long thread, Rich would be sure to notice and realise how annoying we're all finding him.

Obviously it can't just be me, we need some RESPECTED members of the community. So if anyone who agrees posts a "hear hear" I'm sure we'll soon have a thread longer than the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

I agree that "Z" ,a.k.a. "Drumnology", a.k.a. "Peter the Catman Chris" should be banned.

but...
It's kind of impossible.
You could ban the username, and they'll just create another one
You could ban the ip, and they'll just use an anonomous proxy, or spoof someone elses IP.

Perhaps an abuse alert to his ISP from TGC, will get the message across.

It doesn't bother as much if he's mucking up the general talk board, as I expect to skip many threads here anyway. But when it's in the main boards it irks me.

Like "The Nerd's" latest posts. Hopefully the CAPS!!! HELP!!!! "Doesn't anyone like me?" garbage will stop. I thought he finally understood, and then he posts again saying this is my last All caps post.

Poor Jess must be at his wits end.

Didn't CmC do something like that "I'll make a free site for you" and Wooly Mammoth Games made that thread about selling 'his' webpage templates! Well, you see something suspicious there? Phenomenon Gaming Studios made a thread about Website Creation! I also joined his game programming team but dropped out because of lack of respect and look at this email I got from him:

You see, even if PGS is WMG, you have to understand, there has been no spamming from him. All I have seen him do is offer his services to other people. You however, have revived old posts with simple responses such as 'LOL!', continually starting new threads where there is a thread on the subject not more than 40 pixels away, and posting useless information attacking other members of the community. Perhaps you should have thought twice before spamming.

Hehee, yeah i know who's idea it was. But did give me a laugh for a while.

Unfortunately this time it isn't simply because people dislike someone, this time the person in question has broken so many AUP/TOS rules i've lost count.
Have a feeling the reason he isn't banned is because it can't be done via IP as he's on AOL which makes his IP Dynamic, so Rich would have to block basically everyone on AOL in the NY Area.

And in NY spamming currently isn't an offence (MOVE TO CALIFORNIA ), so he can't even get him done through his ISP.
Bit of a no-win situation, imo.

Most annoying thing is when it's a teen like this because even if there were laws it wouldn't do much good as he's a minor. The law protects them no matter how much of a jerk they're being.

Maybe banning is a little weak. We have a general idea on where he lives...soo...

Raven and Neophyte, surround him from the north, Mnem and Lag, from the west, Exeat and Eric, from the east, and Jeku and Walaber from the south. Bring your baseball bats, guitars, swords, other forum members, whatever we can do to scare the sh*t out of him. Then he'll learn his lesson.

But...just incase that doesnt work...
