I wouldn't worry too much about that. We can't delete a user. We can only set a time/date for allowing users back on. Anyone banned can always email the highest authority (Rich) if they believe that the ban is unfair.

There are only a tiny number of mods and I know them all personally, I have no issue with them having a ban ability. Some users here warrant it.

Mods are chosen because they're the sort of people that wouldn't unfairly ban someone or lash out in fits of rage.

Might I recommend the mods keep a logged list of all users they've banned permently/temporarily, unless it's automatically logged.

It's automatically logged. They have to give a reason when banning for me to read - although in the case of certain Z people I'd accept "moron" as a good enough reason.

Cheers,

Rich

Is it possible for a mod to ban themself? Myslef and Jess were having a discussion about this earlier but he was too much of a wuss to try it.

It would be interesting to see what kind of strange message Rich would receive... And what he would do about it... lol.

But, I'm not going to try it, because it could throw the whole system into Chaos... And, besides, it'd be more fun just to ban you, CR, for a day.

lol, jk... Or was I?

Jess.

You can ban anyone (mods, admin, Lee, Mike ) - but if they are TGC staff or a Moderator it never even runs a ban check for them, so it'll make no difference at all.

Rich
