There is that argument, but:
1). More people know the BASIC syntax than Java, and all it's packages etc
2). Omega Basic, like DarkBasic already has all the advanced functions written, you have direct access to methods which may take days to write in standard Java.
3). Omega Basic is creating OO code from your Basic code; alot of people do not know what OO is, and so like what DB does, it is hidden from the user.
4). Omega Basic is keeping things simple, I would hazard a guess that a lot of people on these forums do not know any other language than DB, because either they want to stay with an easy language or code Java/C++ at work and so don't want to use it as a hobby language.
