Judging by the halo demo I have, teh pistol is the only way to go. On blood gultch (the only map the demo has - ), I once infiltrated the rocks on the side of red base and bumped a good 8-9 ppl off... Some of them were really ticked off If I had used a sniper, they could have telled where the shots were coming from due to the tracer trail

Yeah the pistol really kicks ass, but the other weapons (minus assault rifle, though it is very gratifying to get kills with it because it sucks so) are also fun... flamethrower's especially nice. I also like shooting down ghosts with Warthog chaingun turrets.

Warthog chaingun is too easy. There's no ammo limit, no reloading... warthog rocket launcher is a diffrent story, though Flamer is gratifying aswell, since you have to be l337 enough to get in range. But for old fashioned fun, there's nothing like making noise with a rocket launcher Not to mention landing plasma nades on banshees. Heh, those banshee ppl... Think their so l337, then they get a nade stuck on their wing

just one question (I`m a little suspicious), not trying to be male chauvenist but, did those girls actualy score so well against hardcore gamers (remember they where just doing a job and chosen for looks by the looks of it..they don`t live the game), just how many girls would you have to start out with to end up with a team that size that can trash seriously hardcore gamers and be photogenic to boot?, seems a little suspicious, of course if they had not have done well then they wouldn`t be passing on the right message would they?, HMMMM!, could be something weird going on here, companys don`t normaly gamble with image, has anybody come up aginst any female clans? and whats their performance like on average?.
This comment might sound sexist but I base my comment on a article in a flight magazine I read that said females have on average a 5 to 8% slower transmission speed in the nervous system, thats why not many have qualified as combat flight pilots, a woman has to be exeptional to be quick enough to pass combat flight training, men just have to be above average, so if women do have a slight speed disadvantage, then how come they performed so well? (I have mental images of the games people running vast training camps all over the world to get enough photogenic women together for their team)

Probally not. I say they had a little extra help by the company's that organized this little adventure. Probally made it so they didn't have to face the really good people, or somthing like that. They might have given them cheat sheats with all the secrect spots on the levels, or crash courses on the location of all the good guns, etc.

If there are decent female gamers out there that also look above-adverage, those 7-8 or so must be the only ones. Girls that look like that are not exactilly all over the place, you know. Those girls are real lookers. And add the female gamer thing... No way.

But I still like the brunette in the center... hehe

Please take a moment to examine the photo people. Only #1 and #4 (in from the left) are half decent looking. The rest are your typical slightly minging around the edge girls who play games. It's not the scamy stunt it may appear to be.

They're not paying those girls because they wouldn't otherwise play games. They're paying them because they're probably so sh*t, they need time off work at Asda in order to practice.

What a shocking publicity stunt. They need to get some sexy well endowed ladies with low cut tops in order for this to be impressive.

Was playing someone called 8 penguins - beating him/her/it hollow. So what does he/she/it do ? Close the server...

As for playing females - my sister can beat me at certain levels at UT - and I can beat her on others. Likewise, in Halo, with the (apparent) females I've been playing against, the kill ratio is about even...

If you really want a good kill ratio - run people over. Saves ammo too...

lol, I had that happen to me as well. I was playing somone on lemming ball z (another of my free games ) and had just done a kick butt combo that cut his/her health all the way from max to 0, and whoever it was closed the server That's why I now always try to host, instead of joining

As for females that play games... I'm not saying they're not good, it's just that girls don't seem to play FPS action games as much as boys.

And no, I'm not saying I woun't date a girl that can beat me. The few females that I've been lucky enough (both ways ) to play aganist are pretty decent.

Running ppl over? You gotta have some madz skilz for that to work... One misstep and you're gone, useualy from an explosive something or another

As long as you dont drive straight your okay - the tank is pretty good for squashing people... A 180degree turn can sometimes yeld useful results...

You guys should've played Jedi Knight 2 and Jedi Academy when they came out.
You'd find that half of all the people in saber only games were women... I've noticed over recent years girls in FPS have been comming out of the woodwork.
I don't doubt they've been fraggin' our asses for years without us know thier women, but just take a look at Quakecon this year... there is a womens only tournament.

Guys usually get pretty pissy when you beat them and take the whole game too personally. That's a reason I like playing online with women more, you can chill out without hearing comments like...

"oh j00 pwn4ge me j00 n00b! j00 r using aimbot!"
or some remark about you being gay or something lol (or french )

If any of you bothered to actually go and read up on them, you'd realize that their leader is in charge of a group/clan/guild of over 2000 women who play games online. You'd also know that while they were there, they played in the Halo games and kicked ass, without being payed for it.

Personally I think the brunette on the far right is fairly cute, but then I'm only average, don't have supermodels walking past my door every day. The woman I'm *pursuing* right now is only about as cute as half of these girls, I suppose in some peoples eyes that means I should really hold out for someone drop dead gorgeous to decide she likes coders, but then living in the real world denies me of that.

Someone posts a photo of some girl gamers and people say 'Wow she's cute' - that's a natural reaction, putting people down for that is pretty freakin low, please get your ego boosts somewhere else.

now personally I'd say the one on the right-side standing up is 'damn fine!' ^_^
but who cares because after 2hrs playing in a hot sweaty room with a bunch of guys they're all gonna look pretty unappealing (this i know from experience lol)
