NEWS :-

ZIXON Game

Is targetted to feature 108 levels

The list of, types of games in these levels are,

[1] 2D Vertical Shooter
[2] 3D FPS
[3] Puzzle
[4] RTS-(Strategy)
[5] Roleplaying Game (RPG)
[6] 2D Fighting (like Mortal Kombat, street Fighter)
[7] Racing Type

[10] A new concept of our own (SECRET - NOt yet Decided actually).

We are starting the first few levels with 2D vertical shooter (something like the swarm demo and xxxpetratxxx's spaced).

OKies! I dont think we should use 2D coz it wont make the game look good.

Hello daz, it says my e-mail address when you click on 'email' under each post i do. [email protected]

and a 3D fighting game would be easyer than a 2D one...
Also, RPG is a hard game genre to do when its mixed with other genres. Plus it would clash with 'adventure'...

Only the first few levels would be 2D, and there a ton of 2D games that look nice.

Here's my final thought for the day, seeing as it's 9: pm here, how about we have the game based on 2 levels:

1 = The story ZIXON
2 = The story of videogames, like a timeline, from 2D to 3D to our final genre thingy? Just a suggestion.

Good night all, have a nice evening

Maybe their would be a demo, which would show a CG or real time 3d clip, and a trailor which wouls show off the project as a whole. Just a thought. Oh yes, Kenzenray, I think we should start these post in the Team requests forum, for two reasons. First it fits the topic better, and second, they it display 50 posts at once rather than 25 here. Kenzenray should start it so that people will see that it the same as this one, so no one else start it.

Arrow is right. We will be having CG or 3DCLip showing other levels of games. 2D games too (with good artwork) are adorable a lot even today. There are many people who are fed up of going into rooms and shooting people. Thats becoming a little monotonous.

The main coding of ZIXON is starting today (29th Jan 2003). I am just making a title screen and a game menu.

I would like to start a Forum in team request. But we already have a team. Will it become too much publicity with the game still in an early stage. And people will be getting our secrets. As it is I feel we should find a more secured wave of communicaion. My web-site had it all, but I was unable to host it with PHP support.

Please give me your views wether we can start this forum on the Team Requests forums.

Thanks for all your support

How about the beta forum? The mainreason I want these post moved it because it displays 50 post per page and on just 25 like in here.

Pinooch, hi, xxxpetratxxx believes we must be limited to a few people so you must have some good abilities. He's quite greedy and likes to get the most money he can. Me and the others are slaves.

DAZ ... what you are thinking about xxxpetratxxx is wrong. He is not greedy and we arent also his slaves.

When one person has an idea ... it is his till the end. The others may just contribute to its betterment. And if he has more people on the team, who are contributing less and, he is doing most of the work, will land up in problems when comes to the sharing of money.

As for me. ZIXON though aimed as a game to be sold, I am just doing it for the sake of creativeness and achievement. And as far as I am concerned, only if the game sells, people will get a share depending on what they have contributed.

But, The GameAlliance was invented to improve gamming skills and share ideas - Help one another. hence there should not be any question of money and greediness.

Any talent to exhbhit is welcome.

Since I am unable to start coding ZIXON with DB (I have only the trial version), I guess the main coding will start only after I get DBPRO. I hope DBPRO will be useful in making 2D games too. I also felt that coding the entire stuff in DBPRO is better than doing a part in DB and another in DBPRO (thats because I wasnt able to get DB).

So what do you guys feel .. do tell me.
Till then we may be able to make the artworks and other designs.

Like xxxpetratxxx says, we need to know what Pinooch is good at. If his capable and regular to the forums, then I dont think there would be any problems I hope.

Have a nice day

Sorry if I'm acting a bit greedy or rude...its just that theres no point in letting in people that might not be able to do that much. However....Pinooch, your now on the team! (if you want to be).

Lol, and your not my slaves . Its just that I'm giving ideas and....You can do what you want, just make sure you can do what you want because theres no point trying something you cant do.

sorry about that!

Well, I have worked in software development for 7 odd years using languages such as delphi and VB. I can code in C++ but choose not to. I have a lot of experience in GUI design and have been playing games since the begining of gaming time (nearly). Im a good ideas man and can code and design levels, characters etc. I wont lie and say that I have been using DBPro for long. Its new to me and I am in love with it. However, if u are looking for specifics in helpers then not too worry. Sup to u guys really. I'd love to get involved as long as you are a good bunch.
