Attila the hun got so drunk at his wedding he got a bleeding nose, fell asleep in his own chair and choked on his own blood. He wasn't shot with a poisned like in the movie.(Or however he dies.)

I suppose a little bit of drink here and there isn't bad, but you have to be responsible enough not to drink a whole keg.

My friend's mum found a bottle of red turkey under his bed, and he avoided her for a week!

I'm not sure if that's relevant to this conversation, but it's funny!

300 sit-ups is alot..sure you don't have that backwards?? 100 sit-ups, 300 push-ups??

three times as many sit-ups as push-ups is kinda weird

No, i'm doing them right, my coach and my dad both say i am doing them right.

I was talking about will power before, and my dad said that human beings have the strongest will power on the planet. if we wanted to, we could run a 27 mile marathon without stopping.

I'm not too sure about this, but i also read it in a sciience book so it could be true.

Well, in Bible times (and pretty much 1800 years after), water was too dangerous to drink. Fermentation kills most bacteria that water has.

So, it wasn't so much the drunkenness, it was health. The drunkenness was a bonus.

The romans were the first people to have a working sewrage system. Unfortuantly for them the pipes where made of lead, so everyone got lead poisoning and died. That is why the roman empire fell.

Pretty funny if you think about it.

Lead poisoning would have occured during drinking, eating and in the soil as well - the later internal troubles would probably have not have been helped by that - the symtoms of lead poisoning can include stomache aches, headaches, poor appetite, trouble sleeping, and/or being generally cranky and listless.

They drank from their sewage system? That would kill you anyway, aside from that fact that the lead would poison you . Unless you meant they also had mains water, in which case, cool.

Chichester was a pretty major Roman city - aside from the city walls that used to surround the place, we've got a amphitheatre (underground now), plus Fishbourne is nearby.

When I was in Bath (in the U.K.), they had some ancient Roman drinking water system there--- and I drank from it. I seem to be alright in the head (although my friends might beg to differ).
