DavidT, They start off outside the level and fly towards their target, then choose a different target when they get there. If they spot you, the make you their target and start swooping in with their guns - a bit like the heli's in the A-Team. There's 6 of them, but I plan to make them appear more gradually, like a hurry up warning. They also tell the enemies on the ground where you are.
Monkey, For some reason I can't swap the textures on the enemies, but I'm gonna look into detail mapping to show limb damage where needed, and also adding spare limbs that bounce off. The limbs are too easy to remove though, I'll probably change that so it's saved for frags and shotgun bullets.
Uberwigget, It is quite tricky to kill a helicopter with an uzi, you gotta go for the engine
. You can be really wyley and cause them to smash into each other though, stoopid pilots.
It is quite fun, and the AI is not bad for now but needs some bugs ironed out. I have another 2 levels but they're waiting on me adding hummers, which will follow a waypoint route but can drop off enemies and shoot you with a roof mounted M60. I have to add more enemies and weapons as well, but the AI system I have for the ground troops means I can basically swap out a weapon in CharacterFX and adjust the animations, and he'll be able to aim the weapon without any coding at all. It's quite cool to see 32 enemies surrounding you with their guns pointed at your face, then taking off all their heads because I haven't added player damage yet

It's c**p being the only coder in the village.
