My latest project has been my RPG maker, DragnEdit. Specifically I've been working on the board editor. If, at the very least, the board editor get finished and people use it, then I'll have actually programmed something useful. It's been totaly recoded with the help of the wonderfull Magic Windows system.
So far the board editor has open tileset, tile selection screen and exit options.

Constructive critisim is welcome.

Looking nice, maybe a little dark, but it all flows well so it suits it, only thing i would say is that a fair few pics to show not that much you may have a few grumbles from the modem'ers out there.
But nice job, lets see a sample something, youve made with it.

Looks good could you post a shot of the actual 'Board Making' part?

whatever happened to constructive critisism? Are Baggers and SaberDude the only ones who grasp this concept?

Anyway, sorry about the darkness of the program, but its just default for now. As for shots of the board-maker-in-action, those will come after a few bugs are worked out in the editor.

yeah, and its those kinds of comments that discourage people from continuing their programming. I mean, I get enough negativity at school for being a computer geek as it is, but that I can handle. When I get negativity from computer [programming] geeks on something that I'm working really hard at and am really excited about, it hurts! Its pretty much saying to me, I'm too geeky to be considered normal, but not good enough to get possitive comments from geeks themselves. Where does that put me? Does it put me as a person who just can't accomplish anything worthwhile and get possitive feedback on it? Can't I do something I love doing [programming] and NOT get negativity for it? -_-b
So, yeah, theres my rant for the day.

Sounds like you care to much about fitting in a category. Anyways look like alright screen shots but it really doesnt show us what its actually capable of.

Code Ninja, the programming breed as a rule is not very friendly. As a general rule they don't get much sleep, they don't interact with new people very much, and they are almost always, "I can do that, in two hours, better than you." type. So don't take the critics to heart. You can be better than them by being a good programmer and being able to deal with social parts of life too, lol.

Social is one more thing that alot of programmers are not.

Btw, that looks cool.

Thanx, Trs80 Model2 and Baggers.
@DarkSin: Yeah, I'm sorta becoming the one thing I hate most: Someone who tries to be something they are not. Well, some of the shots show it can read the tileset files just fine... But, yeah, I see what you mean.

Okay, I dug through my hard drive and found a screenie of the editor before I added the GUI, but it shows an example of what I was able to do with it at the time. At the time I had the tiles set to the number keys to allow the first 10 tiles to be used (I only used the first 4 in the shot, though).

[edit] I don't know why, but the screenies are always darker than the actual program. *shrugs*
