*******************************************************************
Beta thingey out now:

http://sagetechsoftware.dbspot.com/
*******************************************************************

Hi,

As you know I’ve been working on an MMORPG known as World Of Medieval Heroes (WOMH) for a while now, and some progress has been made, as well as changes, some being:

MMORPG status changed to MORPG

Collision works! But there are a few problems

Client program being worked on

Test have taken place (I swear it!) and have shown a nice packet exchange rate between players

ill post some screenies later (dialup is so slow to upload them and im going to bed soon), one showing the semi working collision (thanks for all the help in my post, it helped get it working) and the basic walk around view (with a map, not much but…)

Setting this aside for a minute, I would like to apologize to all the mods and members of this forum for my unacceptable behavior in the past months. I am indeed sorry for all the annoyances and inconveniences I have caused.

*sigh* you know this thread is gonna degrade to flames right?

Pleeease dont post until you have actual screenshots that show you've done actual work on the project or that demo that you promised us a month ago. Posting that you have screen shots but will upload them "later" is a ticket to flamesville

gahgahghaghaghaghaghghdghwhhow

JUST MAKE A SCREENIE (in db) AND MAYBE A DEMO AND WE'LL BE HAPPY.

Until then I will pet my cat and watch you get flamed.

Something to doing?

Well I do admit it your either very brave or much stupider....But what the hell i'll give you the benefit of the doubt, but a DEMO would really help!

it's called dialup, and its slow as heck, plus my dad put me on a limited acount (i get 2 hours) but since its aol, there is always a way around heheh. any way heres some screenshots.

as you can see, my collision works somewhat (just need to adjust the collision radius)

also we have a screen i showed i while back(and as i noted, the knight is used quite a bit isnt it?)

darn, sorry one picks bigger then the other (its photo bucket becouase the size limit, you know)

Um wait, so the big one is what you showed last time and the new one is a bloke with his leg stuck through a wall....Seriously man some of us would love to see you suprise us all with a project that works, but i think you have just lost my hope of that happening. Good luck holding off the hordes.

It's very hard for children to develop thier own MMORPGS with angry parents on thier ass. You should so something bout that.

Tell yo dad "Yo papa, me no likes dis crap! you catch my drift?" he will be powerless to stop you now, as he will be scared sh**less.

You see here is one reason you make friends Sage tech, so you can have them help you out! Go over to a friends house with a floppy/CD or something, and ask if you can upload something from their comp, thats the kind of things friends are for, but then again you said friends were useless or something.

Well good luck, and I would like to see more from this.

Guns arn't the problem, people are the problem, shoot all the people and guns arn't a problem anymore.

Only 200? Phew--- I thought you were talking about a lot of players. <-- sarcastic

Seriously, Sage. Upload at least a few more shots or I'll have to assume the worst.

you tard, 200 is massive, half life has 32 players as its usual max. anythign above 64 is too hard to handle. if your server can hold 200 players then that same connection can upload a freakin demo already. stop crying like a little sissy an dupload a demo or leave.

Sage - Please post some proof of this '200 player max' feature. Would be neat to see how you've implemented it.

As far as I can tell, you've not actually shown us the level yet. Perhaps the first improvement you can make is to get it working for everyone to see? At this point, even a nice single player walk-around demo would show people you're serious and stop the bickering. Plus, it'd give you the added benefit of constructive feedback. Just a suggestion.

i have never made a 3d game before
i did not test a client with 200 people on one computer

Truths:

I do know C (bout 2 years)
I do know HTML and did learn it when i was seven
I do have a demo and did try to upload it

Right,

If I were you I'd take about 5 or so more screenshots, just to shut everyone up.. Or just upload a friggen demo.

At least as someone else stated, you'd be able to get some constructive feedback.

If you can't upload a demo or take screens at least post some source code just to prove that stuff has been written. I don't think a very small MORPG is impossible in DBPro, I for one am giving it a go, even if it doesn't do much and is just a few cubes moving around online then by showing even a little source code you can show people that work has been done.

Simple... yet fun!

Well atleast that's something new. So let me get this straight? Are you really telling the truth about this being an MORPG? Or do you just have a knight model walking around, and you hope that you can make it into an MORPG?

Finally! Some honesty! I know it can be hard to admit when you've lied or done something wrong, but well done It's good that to hear some honesty. Now maybe we can help you out instead of flaming you. About people calling your game sh*t - just remember that everyone has to start somewhere.
