I'm requesting that some windows controls be added to the DGSDk like edit boxes and such. Tons of games use edit boxes.

you might be able to start yourself off on the right track by reading my DarkSDK/WinAPI tutorial which covers menu's and dialog boxes - it will explain basic controls and from that you can learn how to attach to a window rather than dialog.

I have a demo project available that shows how to use the Dark Game SDK with an MFC app which will allow you to use all of the windows controls. As an example of how this works take a look at the FPS Creator editor.

While this won't allow you to place windows controls directly in your app it will allow you to have controls around it and this is especially useful for tools like world editors.

I have a zip file around somewhere containing the source code for this demo. Once I've found it I can post if it's going to be helpful.

It's real easy to use windows dialogs in the DarkGame SDK:
1) Create an MFC DLL and add a dialog box (or two) to it.
2) Create an exportable function that contains the dialog class inside the function.
3) call the DoModal() function of that dialog class to activate the dialog.
4)Have the function either return a value or modify the contents of a parameter.

And there you have it. It works real well for me.

Can anyone post an example of using MFC with the darkSDK?

Mike, if you still have that ZIP file (and a minute to spare), please post it, cause I really had enough of all this messages-handling with the winAPI .

10x in advance.
