Well, I'd hardly say 'every day'.

What point is there for any life to live, who lives a life as this man did? Mentally stable or not! He was of no use in this world, but to hurt it. Just as a terroist. There is sympathy for the unstable, but also a logic that states, this life has no reason at all!

That's the problem. People never blame the one who actually commits the crime. Let's blame it on his parents, alcohol, drugs, temporary insanity, anything OTHER than the one who did it. What a horrible and scary society we live in now.

And you'd better not say I'm brainwashed. In Canada murderers can get just 7 years in prison--- a mere slap on the wrist. We're on the other end of the ball.

@Jr Noober: I live in the US and I havent heard a escape in a long time
(longer than a year I think. though I do mostly just watch the local news)

I think a person whos kills someone with the intent to kill should suffer the same fate as his victim. The Death penalty is what he deserves. What gives crazy people the right to kill and take human life when murders dont. They are all the same and should be punished. Sorry for the harshness but I view murders(mentally ill or not) at the bottom of the human chain.

Sorry for the length of this, I've been away.

Quote: " I don't know, I consider http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jamie_Bulger to be the most disturbing true story I've ever heard."

I read into that for an English essay, wasn't that bad considering they didn't know they were doing bad and tried to fix Jamie, well that's how I view it. *not starting a flamewar*

Quote: " I thought it was interesting.

But I also read through the serial killer encyclopedia. They're very interesting to me."

as of yet I haven't read it, but I enjoyed reading through a book of evil ppl ("serial killer encylopedia" i guess)

Quote: "If you want to blame someone, then blame the parents for his upbringing or blame the system that failed him, but don't blame him. He did what he did because his brain was not functioning as it should and when he needed help he didn't get it."

That, in short, is what I believe. Punishment for something they do not know is wrong, can't stop themselves or some such other problem meaning their actions are not what we call "moral" isn't really fair on them as a person. Let them live in an assylum, its not fun and probably worse than death.

Quote: "pitying evil people very disturbing."

I don't think anyone is really pitying them but heh..

Quote: "Here is a man that clearly needed major mental help and all you think is .... KILL!!!"

that's ironic isn't it. the serial killer has various mental problems meaning he doesn't know it's immoral to kill, yet you [not talking to scraggle, who i quoted, here] want to kill him in cold blood

Quote: "Prisinors escape from those secure enviornments every day."

then it's not secure surely. Build em better, build the walls high.

Quote: "Another problem I have with your viewpoint is that you seem to think that people who do bad things are "broken" and can be "fixed". I really don't think the human mind that simple"

good point but just leave them there, if they dont get "better" let them die there..you got your way eventually

Quote: "Human Rights are unfortunatly named human rights, they are priviledges"

I believe that with the gift of rights come responsablility, don't take the rights of others. But who said the guy knew his responsability or would uphold it, im talking about his lack of morals or whatever..

Ok that was a long post, I'll edit or repost when I've read the wiki article

EDIT: Ok that is sick, but I've read/seen worse (Jack the Ripper..there are some sick photos out there, the basic police forensic ones, luckily very unclear)..however he's clearly insane..

Are we living in the same world, here? Everyone, I don't care who they are, know that murdering and eating internal organs is wrong. And this is a full grown man. Give me a break

Can't stop themselves?? *gag* That's the perfect crime. If you have some sick fetish tendencies, and you get caught, you can always plead insanity. I can see who's really brainwashed now
