I bought the plugin, but I've only been able to give it 10 minutes or so of attention ... phew! That thing isn't as simple as I'd hoped. I'm sure it can provide very good results but this plugin is not a magic wand, by any stretch of the imagination.

Incidentally, I think it uses spline interpolation which gives the animations their silky smoothness.

I'll let you all know how I get on.

Sorry to bump the thread, but I emailed Monster, and have yet to receive a reply. Just incase you read this thread more often than you check your mail, Monster ....

Would it be possible to have a stand alone application which creates .MOB files? I don't particularly like milkshape's animation interface and I've just bought PaceMaker. If you could make an application which read in .x files and created .mob files - that would kick ass

Thanks,

The exporter for 3DS Max is already done. We will send links for download for all DBP AA users soon.

Excellent Thank you for your time. I think bundling a .x -> .mob converter with the package will help sell the product.

If this does what I think it does, then I'm definately going to buy this.

I also saw there is a milkshape export plugin included. Great, cuz I was going to buy that too

anyway a newb can get his hands on a step by step tutorial on how to implement this plugin and using the ms3d skeleton that comes with the DBP Advanced Animation Addon Pack? so far I poked around a bit and this is what I came up with...

Load model in milkshape
Assign vertices to the skeleton.ms3d file (comes with addon)
export to .x file
now you can use the animation files that come with the addon?

another method?
Load model in milkshape
create a skeleton and assign vertices
create animation
export as .mob file
export model as .x file
now you can use your own model and your own .mob animation files?

any help here would be greatly appreciated!!

Opps, I will repost this in the animation forums. Sorry.

Monster - I'm having problems. I've gone over tutorials, tried it lots of different ways. Every time I rig my models up to the skeleton you provided, they come out looking crazy. Their legs flip of over their heads, separate from their bodies. I'm using every bone that you are.

The bottom line - I suck. I would PAY for a video tutorial of the process. Or, the original MS3D file of the ranger all rigged up would be fabulous.

OK, we can send MS3D model used in demo to you. Just send your TransactionID to us and write "ms3d model request" in message header.

Monster,
I still havent recieved any information on the 3dsmax exporter. I sent an email request to Support@accode.com. I also requested any extra information you can send regarding some kind of tutorial on how to take a model, animate it, and implement it into DBPro.

Any help here would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you.

This looks to be exactly what I made a while back. I am using it in my game, Tutopia. I'm planning on using the control over body parts to make enemy deaths look really cool and smooth. It took me a while so if it does what it says then great work!

Did anyone buy the darkSDK version of this before he decided to raise the price to $99?

I need the 3ds max mob export plugin, and since he seems to totally ignore customers and now charge stupidly insane prices AND apparently not send products to people who have bought from his site I had to resort to asking here.

So if anyone could upload it or email it to me it would be cool

In this post there are people talking about it being 25-30 dollars but when I look on the site its 60 dollars for standard and 100 dollars for pro - has the price just gone up ridiculously or am I missing something?

I'm sorry but at a price like that you I think you are pricing yourselves well out of the range of most DBP coders.

Heh, think he's trying to scam as many people as possible. Either that or the site got hacked.

If you buy from his site you won't get anything, so might as well forget it. Hopefully someone else would make a decent animation plugin with better customer service than this crap.

Mabe he's tired of answering a bazillion questions from customers. So he raised the price really high to discourage people from buying it.

Also noticeing this guy has not replyed to this thread in like six months i think this plugin is history
