I decided to make a 3D Mech. Then i decided not to texture it. go me! But tell me what you think of the mesh.

If you need that model for a game it's ok, If it´s just a image model you should add more details.

it seems you have some fanboys biggadd...

i'd say this;

don't use GI, it means people can't judge your mesh properly as it hides flaws and generally makes things look better.

the polys you spent on the feet could be spent better elsewhere, like on the body of the mech... also, shouldn't it have some sort of protection for the driver?

You copycat :p I agree it lacks detail on the top, while it has a bunch on feet, doesn't look right. Get a nice texture and it will be ace.

Explain to me why some people pay money for 3d software? Its not 3d till its been blended. wwww.blender3d.org

@Master Chief, nah don't complain, people use peoples work as inspiration (see you inspired BigAdd, so all of the members of his fan club in theory will worship you, see look I can see Xenocythe laying out a mat so his knees won't get cramped with the hours of worshipping he'll do )

Anyways, I'm making a Japenese character for my game, and I modelled and Textured him so far mySELF! lol

Oh, and I COULD take the knee cramping with OUT a mat!!

The solid errors can leave whith the texture, that's not a problem, but if you don´t want to add textures... work more in the solid on the top.
Anyway that's a good model.

Nice model! You got just 900 polys in that... I remembered mine was about 5000+... Darn...
What software do you use?
I suggest adding the details more in the texture than making more polygons...
if you're using 3dsmax, i also suggest "render to texture"/bake the skylight to make it more realistic...
My last suggestion: decrease the # of sides of your cylinders... hexagon or octagon I suppose...

All projects have been cancelled due to some important matters (darn it!) but "The mask of Zorah" is still continued...

I would give it to you... but the Xport plugin is all screwed up on C4D. So noting works!! Not even any of the other export settings. i'm trying to update the version but i cant get a download off thier website. its rather annoying.

I've tried that. Its just because the plugin version is for 8.2 and i have 8.1... and i cant update it.

thats a bugger, ask Perry Stacy about it (customer services dude, his email is on the website) he's very helpful, see he's even looking out for a job for me at maxon (as a part time teenager job of course)

Its a long shot, but try and download the Xport plugin for version 6, most plugins can work cross versions
