We have released the segment editing kit. The zip comes with videos showing how to use this internal development tool. Voice overs courteous of Lee!

The editor is not bug free, so use at your own risk.

Download size is 225 Megs!

The hole exists because the CSG mesh used to punch the hole for the door also clipped into the floor. The solution is to make the floor of your segment and the segments your door might affect use a mode called 'CSG immune'. You select this by clicking on the floor mesh, then pressing the I key to toggle this mode.

Hmm, I think You shourld use video more why not making a few about how to import Your own gun, how to import Your own animated characters, work with animations, how to save memory and make the game faster, how to make realistic outdoor scenes and work with ground thats not flat. By the way how do You stretch textures in the segment editor (didnt watch all videos). Can You do that? I have worked with video so if You got any probs. let Me now about it and maybe I can help You out. Just dont forget to compress the video. The file was way to big.
Keep up the good work...

Scripting video tutorials would also be handy for beginners And others that dont quite understand the syntax of the language too!
Just a suggestion though.. Let merranvo or somebody that knows the scripting language really well do them though!!

Best way to learn anything is by clear examples and descriptions in clear detail of how everything works...

Thanks for posting the Segment Editor kit. Those videos were really helpful also! Does anyone over there plan on releasing anymore videos regarding FPSC?

Also, if Lee needs a new keyboard, I'll mail him a nice quiet-key keyboard.

[edit]

Here a copy of the segment editor kit without the videos. Download size is 6.27mb.

THANK YOU TORRY... YOU WILL LIVE FOREVER!!!

Now... Evil Stick... That is not true...

I have made several programming languages!!!
JavaSTD
QbasicSTD
and C++STD

...problem is that they only are the same language, only with different words...

now lee may know how the script commands work, but that doesn't mean he knows it better then the users. He hardly uses the thing, most of his coding is IN DBP, not FPI. My proof to all of that is that I managed to make 3 counters at what he said was impossible.

A tank vehical
A semi-water segment
and CAMERAS!!!

I don't see why not. I've got it in a completely different folder the were FPSC is installed into. You just need to copy all files created to the FPSC folder, but that shouldn't be a problem.

It's a seperate application, so you can install it anywhere you like. It will even run without FPSC installed most likely.

If I use FPSC to create a FPS? What's a FPS supposed to be anyway???
