lol, shes says ok then but only if your a good boy.

quick message for the makers, when i move the mouse cursor over the slice, hollow or cut it says what they are, then if i do it again theyve changed around ( not the buttons but the help names)dont know if thats important or not as ive got used to what they are by the symbol but is it classed as a bug, thought id mention it.

the help names keep changing, if i put the mouse pointer over say slice its help says somthing other than slice, if i take the mouse away and put it back again it might say slice or sothing else.
its like its taken...slice..hollow...cut and keeps mixing up the names.
it doesnt just do hollow for slice, it might do cut for slice or even get it right..slice for slice, and the same thing happens when i put the mouse over hollow and cut, pick n mix help box.this is the only thing ive noticed on 3dws and ive used it very extensivly for about 2 days now.if this doesnt explain properly then let me know and ill find a better way of explaining it,basically, 3 buttons

slice..hollow...cut/ and 3 help boxes,slice..hollow...cut
when i move the curoser over the buttons i get a rnd(3) on the help names.hope this helps.

How about patch modelling features? nothing too complex, maybe the ability to make a 4*4 matrix (for example) which you can modify with the mesh edit tools, it will be useful for making small patches of land, organic scenery etc. And some bezier curves too (ala gtk radiant?)

That would be handy actually in place of displacement maps, for doing small terrain areas where it's innacurate and impractical to use full terrain.

What does that mean?

The grammar in this thread is getting pretty poor. Please improve it.

He basically means, a solid geometric object, i.e. a cone or cylinder that has been capped.

One thing I'd like to see is a way to see and select textures already used in a map. I have several directories of textures I use, but only use a handful in a given map. Having to rescroll through the list to switch back to a texture I already used is cumbersome.

Maybe a "MRU Textures" or a "Textures in use" window?

Or even an option to filter the current texture window to just show textures in use?

I would like it if an object could be "split" like in maya with the split face option. I am not sure if this is already avalible, but it would be nice for the texturing reasons at least. And I am starting to agree with Josh about the grammer. Please make it en anglais s'il vous plait.

How about "Select Texture"? It's already in.

Use the slice plane.

It's extremely useful - more like. It's a brilliant tool for creating windows and stuff when you haven't planned on doing so, and you can also use it to make stuff like holes in walls (make a load of cubes, rotate them, then subtract them from a wall).

1. I would like to hid/unhide objects (make them invisible).

2. We need textures to be exported, or at the very least a list of what textures were used. Too much of a pain to go back though and see what was added, changed, deleted.

3. Navigation has always been awkward. I would like Right Mouse to rotate around the selected object. Otherwise like normal.

I would like if you could update the texture browser without having to restart the program. I mean when i'm making a level and need to add a new texture for use in the level, i have to restart the program before i can use it in 3DWS. I don't know if this is already possible. But didn't work for me.

I want a ok button in the texture browser, or at least a way to dock the window. having to x out a texture after selecting it in the browser is very unprofessional.

Updating the texture lists would NOT be simple to implement at all, and it would probably slow down editing quite a bit.

It checks for program updates. The "initializing" phase is also setting up the whole program, not just doing internet stuff.

It should only connect to the internet once a day. I figured every 24 hours is a good time to check for updates.
