Hi,
I've worked on this editor for a long time and I think it's time to release it. This a complete level editor : objects, sounds, lights, events, particles.

Features :
- Load 3ds and dbo objects
- Position/scale/rotate objects
- Object properties like transparency, colours, shadows, billboarding...
- Lights : position, range, colours
- Sounds : position, volume
- Material editor : diffuse, alpha, normals, specular...
- Particles
- Triggers (with a bad scripting system )
- Exported maps really fast to load

Download it here :
http://membres.lycos.fr/mathein/db/scedit/scene.html
I hope I will not have problems with my ftp

The source code requires Sparky's dll (http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=31051&b=5)

Downloading. It looks just like the french one. Is it still in french? Also, you are providing the level editor's source?

This one is in english and there is some more things than in the french version. And no, this is not the editor's source but the code to load maps.

This is the most advanced level editor i've ever seen for db. Really good! good work with the graphics and sounds, scripts are very interesting too. I just played with it for about 10 mins, and with the material effects you've implented, it just looks a little bit like 3ds max! very nice math!

edit,
Wow! I just noticed the cut/paste function!

edit2,
eeeh.. why can't I compile "load.dbpro" ?

Thank you. If you can't compile the file, it's perhaps because you haven't got sparky's dll or update 5.9. If you are on 5.8, juste remove 'SET GLOBAL SHADOW COLOR 0,0,0,100' (before the loop) and 'SET OBJECT NORMALS' (inside charge.dba)

Thanks math i haven't upgraded to 5.9 yet, that was the prob.
There is one thing what i dislike about your editor: the camera. I just can't work with it, I prefer the arrowkeys. Maybe you could release a new .exe with the arrowkeys as camera control

That'd be a good idea

I gave it a try the other day. The editor is nice, and gets the job done, but the examples are hot. Doom II in particular. The lighting was great, and the smoke looked perfect. The event system is good too. Well done.

Math, I bet that you could make some competition to 3dws. Try adding more, and I could lend you a hand on the gui side.

Dr. Evil : no, but you can use the models and texture.
X1b : Just a little 'read me'. I'll add a real help file later (maybe for the next release).
