Hi

Just downloaded the new model pack today. But when i try the new segments and walk around on them, there isn't any walking sounds! I then tried to split a room up, one half with the old segments, and one half with the new segments. When i walked on the old segment there we're walking sounds, but when i walked over on the new segment, there we're no walking sounds!

I don't know if this should be posted here, or in the bug report board. But as this is maybe a bug with the installation to the model pack, i'm not sure.

The missing sounds aren't a bug, but you need to add those yourself (they may have forgotten to add the sounds)

You need to change each fpe in the files/segments/modernday/..... (don't forget the fpe files in each ceiling folder)

Look for ;Segment Parts and then locate the floor 'floor_a.x and then findmaterialindex0 = 0 Change the 0 into a number between 1 and 6.

Here are the sound that the numbers imo correspondent with:
1 = outdoors floor (terrain)
2= indoors floor (corridor)
3= metal floor
4= indoors floor (small room)
5= indoors floor (large room)
6= water

Also the doors don't have any sound. Find all of the fpe files for the door in this folder files\entitybank\modern day\doors.

Locate the soundset = and soundset1 = and change them into
soundset = audiobank\ww2\scenery\doors\open.wav
soundset1 = audiobank\ww2\scenery\doors\close.wav

for example. Those sounds are from the WW2 doors, fitted best imo.

I think they overlooked adding sounds to the floors and doors. I was hoping for some new character and door sounds, but it's not in the content pack at all, unfortunally.

it seems like the model pack is kindof glitchy...

i dont know if the sounds work because im not at home, but i know the new charecters are way to big, the humvee is dynamic...and some other stuff...

nothing that cant be fixed with a little tinkering...

I think this problem should be taken care of.

Correct, you can't climb them.... from the front. You can jump on them from the side and then climb up. Also coming down on them isn't a problem at all. Once you're on them, you can go up and down.

Seems to be an invisible wall in the front stopping the player to climb up.

But as usual there is a solution. Find the files ramp1.fpe & ramp2.fpe in the folder files\entitybank\modern day\items

Under ;orientation you'll see collisionmode = 0. Change that to collisionmode = 1 and the problem is solved. Now you can climb up from the front as you would do on any ramp.

(Sorry for the second post tagging on the my previous one, I know some people can get really fuzzy about this around here.... BUT I tried to edit and did get an error a number of times.)

Oops sorry..... segments are fps and entities fpe.

Wanted to edit my previous posts to correct this, but can't do it. I'm not cleared yet.
